Its not a glitch, its designed this way for a reason. We all understand that they are integrated, and do more than just being the radio. BUT... I agree with the OP. If I push the mute button... it should be muted when I turn the truck back on.
As above... it's a minor annoyance... but to me... it seems like a software glitch. (It remembers every other button position on a restart)
The reason being Ram is sponsored by the radio industry now?Its not a glitch, its designed this way for a reason.
This is what would happen if it stayed muted when turned back on.Hey guys when I start my truck I don't get any sound out of the radio. First reply would be did you check to see if it was muted.:doh:We all understand that they are integrated, and do more than just being the radio. BUT... I agree with the OP. Most after market radios specifically built for the Ram don't loose any of the stock features. Go look at something like and Apline X009. Pricey, yes, but doesn't loose any features, thereby, not truly and integral part of the vehicle. When I inquired at my dealership parts department about installing an aftermarket radio, I was told "those trucks will go to the crusher with their original radios still in them". His way of saying that the radio is an integral part of the vehicle control system.
