I looked in other Dodge forums and found where several people living in the south (mainly FL) have a problem with the screen "bubbling" due to delamination. I was surprised not to find anything on this forum. I have a 2018 RAM 2500 Power Wagon. We're now done with winter here in FL, but I didn't notice it until about the end of Feb. It's very noticeable. If heat is the issue, I wonder why it didn't start until Feb, when it was still rather cool. Unless it was a matter of it being cool (45-55) in the mornings and warming into mid-70 or higher during the day, plus considering the humidity. I don't have my windows tinted.... yet.
When I clean my screen, I spray screen cleaner lightly on a rag and wipe the screen, the same as you would do a computer screen.
This seems to be a manufacturer defect. Has anyone else noticed this issue? Thanks!

Mark,
There aren't a lot of additional details. I first noticed it in mid Feb with a small spot in the upper left. It wasnt hot. As it started warming up, by mid April, there were 2 areas "creeping" down the screen. Taking it to the dealer today. The really sucky part is if they replace the radio, I lose my lifetime SiriusXM subscription.

My 2018 1500 Big Horn started in Dec. By Feb it was much larger.
Hi @jmslimick & @WJHeller - If you are willing to move forward with addressing this with your dealers, please be sure to follow up with us via private message. I would like to escalate your situation to a Case Manager which will provide the dealership and yourself with an individual who will review your concern, then assist you and the dealership in exhausting all available resources to have the concern addressed and resolved.

Hi Mark,
I am having same issue with my 2018 Dodge Ram Laramie 2500 4x4 with delamination but it is severely affecting performance. It would stay on a radio station and just bounces all around from station to station while beeping all the time. Keeps popping up with screen "do you want to change clock setting". Pretty dissappointing for a 2 year old truck. I would hope this would be replaced and Dodge would be credited from the vendor. Bad electronics. Had same issue with Garmin delamination on my boat touchscreen. Product wasn't under warranty yet they sent me a new one no charge.
Looking for your help.
Thanks Mark

Went to the dealer, out of warranty... pretty disappointing it made it only 38,800 miles before it messed up, and an upgrade I specifically picked the truck for off the lot.

Suggested I call customer care. Any one else get this?

Interesting to see the same issue at about the same time on 2018 Ram trucks. 2018 Ram Power Wagon here with 30000 miles here also and it just started on the corners of my 8.4 uconnect also. Savannah, GA area, but it's certainly not hot yet and I keep the vehicle shaded with sunshade when parked. Made an appointment with the dealer, so it's only a guess how that will work out.

I would think as long as you reported it before you hit 36K, you should be good for getting a replacement. Ram Cares called me and said they have a different manufacturer now and the 8.4 is on back order. They aren't sure when the replacement will be in. I took mine in about 2 weeks ago. I must say, Ram Cares has been keeping me updated with phone calls at least every week.

Don't worry it's not just FL. I'm in south TX and this started happening on my 2018 Longhorn Mega about a month ago. Si far the dealer says they will "Good will" a replacement for me but I'm still waiting.

Local dealer said they will replace under warranty with a 3-5 day shipping time on a new unit. I'm still waiting from April 2019 about getting a new drag link after they booger welded mine in the recall, so we will see how this goes.
