I looked in other Dodge forums and found where several people living in the south (mainly FL) have a problem with the screen "bubbling" due to delamination. I was surprised not to find anything on this forum. I have a 2018 RAM 2500 Power Wagon. We're now done with winter here in FL, but I didn't notice it until about the end of Feb. It's very noticeable. If heat is the issue, I wonder why it didn't start until Feb, when it was still rather cool. Unless it was a matter of it being cool (45-55) in the mornings and warming into mid-70 or higher during the day, plus considering the humidity. I don't have my windows tinted.... yet.
When I clean my screen, I spray screen cleaner lightly on a rag and wipe the screen, the same as you would do a computer screen.
This seems to be a manufacturer defect. Has anyone else noticed this issue? Thanks!

Mine started too. Just noticed this morning. 38k miles. Fun. Came here first.
My 2018 1500 Big Horn started in Dec. By Feb it was much larger.
Hi @jmslimick & @WJHeller - If you are willing to move forward with addressing this with your dealers, please be sure to follow up with us via private message. I would like to escalate your situation to a Case Manager which will provide the dealership and yourself with an individual who will review your concern, then assist you and the dealership in exhausting all available resources to have the concern addressed and resolved.

Mark,
There aren't a lot of additional details. I first noticed it in mid Feb with a small spot in the upper left. It wasnt hot. As it started warming up, by mid April, there were 2 areas "creeping" down the screen. Taking it to the dealer today. The really sucky part is if they replace the radio, I lose my lifetime SiriusXM subscription.

Went to the dealer, out of warranty... pretty disappointing it made it only 38,800 miles before it messed up, and an upgrade I specifically picked the truck for off the lot.

Suggested I call customer care. Any one else get this?

Interesting to see the same issue at about the same time on 2018 Ram trucks. 2018 Ram Power Wagon here with 30000 miles here also and it just started on the corners of my 8.4 uconnect also. Savannah, GA area, but it's certainly not hot yet and I keep the vehicle shaded with sunshade when parked. Made an appointment with the dealer, so it's only a guess how that will work out.
Hi,
I'm sorry to hear this. Please let me know if you would like additional assistance.

Local dealer said they will replace under warranty with a 3-5 day shipping time on a new unit. I'm still waiting from April 2019 about getting a new drag link after they booger welded mine in the recall, so we will see how this goes.
We can help with the drag link. Feel free to send us a PM with your VIN and dealer name.

My screen is the same I too live in SFL noticed it on the left side about a week ago today I noticed it on the right side 2018 ram 3500 11000 miles
Same here, started about a week ago in the upper left corner, now has spread across the top of the screen on my 2018 Rebel. In Houston, Tx here. It affecting any apps or maps, jumps all over the place so it has to be impacting the touch screen interface.
We understand why this may be concerning. We suggest having your dealer inspect this concern if you have not done so already. We are also available via private message if you would like any additional assistance during that process.

I also live in southern Florida and my 2018 Ram, with less than 20,000 miles, is having the same issue with what looks like delamination or moisture in the uconnect screen. Are there any recalls on this? The radio sees it because I keep getting a message "Do you want to change the clock?" One of the spots is right under the time.

The screen on my 2018 Lone Star Silver is doing the same thing. Located in Texas so it’s warmer here as well. I’m at 67k miles so I might be up out of luck even though I don’t feel like this is an issue related to mileage at all.

i live in houston my 2018 lonestar has same problem having the same issue with what looks like delamination or moisture in the uconnect screen. Are there any recalls ...miles 55000 does this cover under ext warranty...help..
I ran across this thread while researching this exact same issue on my 2018 Ram Laramie 3500. This is very disappointing news considering the issue is completely unrelated to mileage and will not be covered by warranty because I am over on mileage. I can not even explain my frustration with this issue. I was on a 3 hour trip when my radio stations started cycling through every few seconds. Then when I place it on the climate screen the air starts on and off, up and down then on then on the screen with the heated seats the seats start heating up. Which heated seats in Mississippi in the middle of July is horrible. I am on the road in my truck for extended hours and this is just unbearable. I noticed the bubble at the top of the screen a few weeks ago but it has gotten considerably worse in the last few days.
I would like to open a case for you and get you to a Uconnect specialist. If you'd like, please send us your VIN, email, phone number, and mileage to get started.

I live in Florida. I’ve got a 18 2500 ram with 60k an this problem is ridiculous I’ve already replace my screen once because of it delaminating an pushing buttons on its own now my new screen is already doing it again. Ram cares just wants to send you to the dealer to spend money. Idk why there isn’t a recall it’s a pretty big issue when that screen controls half the truck.
Hey Mark my name is Lee Jones I have a 2018 ram 2500 it’s got 67,000 miles on it but the trucksOnly two years old the screen is delaminating and with all the issues and everything that’s going on I was wondering if there’s anything that ram could do to assist
I apologize for the trouble, @Chuck4801 & @2018Lee. Please do not hesitate to follow up with us via private message so that we may provide you with further support in addressing this concern!

My screen is also delaminating. It is interfering with my touch screen. I can’t go 3 mins without the truck asking me if I want to change my clock settings. I hope to God the dealer pays for this.

Have a 2018 Rebel 34,500 miles experiencing this issue. Radio now unusable. How can I get case with RAM cares to streamline working with dealer?
My Ram is also 2018 2500. Definitely seems to be a bad year to buy an 8.4 package. My truck also is over mileage sitting at 52k miles. I have seen a company out of Florida (infotainment) I think was the name. Has anyone tried using them. You remove the radio and ship to them and they fix and return for around 400$. Seems like a lot better option than 1300$.
Just noticed my 2018 Ram 1500 8.4 touchscreen starting to look like it’s delaminating across the to from left to right. Just a little over 15000 mile on it
At 58l miles my 2018 ram screen is delaminating also, notifying ram car will cover the cost?
