2018 Ram 2500 Laramie and the screen has been delaminating for about a year (just after warranty), this morning a message keeps popping up asking if I want to "adjust my clock settings" and beeping. It's very annoying and I can't see my screen because of this message. Stellantis should really have this fixed. I have worked in the automotive manufacturing industry in the greater Detroit area for forty years and this is clearly a manufactures defect from LG if I have ever seen one.

I have a 2018 1500 with only 40k miles and im having the same delamination problem. In fact its cause a safety issue turning off screen as I'm using my back up camera. This is a serious issue and can't believe there is not a recall or ram is willing to take care of their customers for something that is clearly a defect. I've been a ram owner of several trucks since 1998. But this is first time I'm thinking of reconsidering my truck of choice. Not because there is a defect, but how noone will address the issue.

2018 RAM 1500 with 36,000 miles. I noticed the delaminating a few months ago and didn't think much of it, just that it was ugly and annoying. But now I am getting the ghosting that all of you are describing as well and realized they are connected. It both startles me and distracts me when I am driving. This is completely unsafe and a recall must be done. This is unacceptable and I am hopeful RAM will do something about it ASAP and not dumping its customers off to the dealers only to get shut down.

Same thing is happening to my 2018 Ram 1500 sport. I called Uconnect back in March and spoke to someone who seemed to know the problem and they told me there was a goodwill warranty but I had to just go to dealer for them to get eyes on it and then call Uconnect team back. So that brings me to yesterday when I was finally able to swing by dealer and one of the advisors took a picture and gave me his card. I call uconnect back today and they say the system will not allow for the goodwill warranty cause Im not the original owner. I've had the truck for a year and bought it as a certfied used truck at Ram Dealer. The guy escalated it to be reviewed by a specialist and gave me a case number. Told me to call back in a week.

For those tired of waiting for RAM to come to the rescue, thanks to YouTuber's I was able to remove the goo on my radio. Removed goo, cleaned it up real good and now is working. Total cost about 5 dollars for double sided Gorilla Tape and about 4 hours of work with lots of patience.
This video helped me taking radio apart:
This video helped me putting it back together plus some very good pointers:
And this video started it all and gave me the courage, there is actually two parts to this video but here is one:

Final result: All features seem to work fine, screen is a bit dull now but I can live with that.
Supplies needed besides tools: 10lb fishing line to separate screens, Goo Gone and Alcohol to clean screens of goo (create a mixture of these two, go easy on the Goo Gone and clean in circular motions small sections at a time, at the end clean with alcohol only), roll of paper tissue some lint free rags for clean up. If your radio is pretty much inoperable I recommend to try it your self. Some people replace the digitizer which is around $100, I chose to re-use mine. No need to re-apply any kind of goo, at least I didn't.

Good luck and if you try this do it with patience and at your own risk of course.
Just an update after 5 months, radio is working excellent. I recommend you to try it, I guess you don't have nothing to lose since it appears Ram is not doing **** about it.

Having the same issue now with my 2018 Ram 1500, delamination issues. Supposed to take a trip in two weeks and now the ghosting has started. Disappointed when I saw Ram and dealers have offered no solutions for this.

How do you folks reach out to Ram Cares? I bought a 2018 2500 back in March and within a week the screen started to delaminate. Dealership told me to pound sand. Thinking of doing the YouTube repair. It's a shame, truck only has 65k miles.

I just purchased a 2018 Ram Limited - I love the truck! I'm having issues with screen delamination. I didn't realize it was such a problem until AFTER I made the purchase at which point I start seeing forums and cases all over the internet about people having the same issues. I would love to be able to get the repair taken care of as I've only had the truck for 3 weeks and it's having MAJOR issues with 'ghost touches', calls being made without me making them, navigation not being able to be used, etc. I've got videos and photos of how bad it really is. Seems like this can be a major safety concern and hoping my concern is taken seriously. I've gotten the diagnosis from my local dealer and raised the issue to the dealer I bought it from only to be told they can't do anything about it.

I have a 2018 rebel…screen started delaminating with 28k on itt was outside the 3 year warranty by 3 months.

I had to call ram cares/ corporate because the dealer wanted to charge me nearly 2k for a new head unit.

Ram cares agreed to fix for free after an inspection… took 1 month and numerous calls and trips to the dealership.

frustrating but in the end they made it right, costed me my time and a ton of aggravation.

My 2019 RAM 1500 with only 33k miles has been having the same screen delaminating issue. I called my buddy at a local dealership here in Central Florida about 7-8 months ago when I noticed the screen bubble getting bigger. He looked up the VIN, but he said it’s unfortunately out of warranty based on original purchase date.
Is there anyone at Ram Cares or FCA that can help me get the screen replaced before it quits working altogether? Looks to me like a lot of folks have had success with replacements even though their vehicles are a bit past the warranty.
Any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a 2018 RAM 1500 Big Horn, and my 8.4 uconnect is starting to delaminate. The ghost touches started this morning and kept asking me if I wanted to change my clock settings. How has RAM not done a recall for this? It's definitely a safety issue. How has everyone corrected this? Anyone have any luck with RAM for vehicles outside of the warranty? Anything RAM Cares or FCA can do?

Hello fellow RAM owners.. First comment and just wanted to join the long long list of dissatisfied owners who have the delamination and ghost touching problems. I to am out of warranty with my 2018 RAM 1500 and I have been reading about this issue. I'm experiencing the ghost touching changing everything from the station, Heat/AC controls, safety assistance setting and more all faster than I can tell what it is doing.
With so many owners complaining, I expected the NHTSA to have more complaints than what I could find about this issue. Just throwing this out there but if more people would file a complaint with the NHTSA, maybe this issue would become a recall. Think about it, they not gonna spend millions on something that the NHTSA isnt pushing to be repaired. Just my 2 cents...
