new to dodge, familiar with jeeps. I just purchased an 01 ram 1500 4x4 with 89k miles. it has an 8 inch suspension and 2 inch body lift on 38x14.5's. my jeep was lifted as well and i never had this issue. When driving the Ram i notice that when making a left hand turn, the resistance of the steering wheel is slim to almost none. When making a right hand turn however, the opposite occurs. The steering wheel resistance is much much greater. Tried searching this in the forum and couldn't find anything besides steering wheel play issues. unless i am completely misunderstanding the definition of "play", i do not feel it has play.

if this has been an over-discussed issue on this forum, i apologize. but ill just use the new age-old excuse...."i'm new!".

thanks.

Nope I don't think you have the wrong idea of "play", but then again, I have no idea what you do on your off time...Just kidding.

It sounds like an issue with the steering stabilizer/shock if you have one mounted up under there.
