Unidentified Parts

So, I'm no mechanic, but I like to fix things. What started as replacing a leaking rear axle seal, turned into replacing seals, bearings, and axels. Beyond my paygrade, but I was in too deep. I opened the transfer case and pulled the pin to free the axles. When I pulled the axles, the gears (I think they're called spider gears) all came loose. At some point, these little pieces dropped into the bottom of the housing. I can't find them online in schematics, or in any YouTube videos, so I don't know what they are or where exactly they are supposed to go. I've got everything mostly back together, but I don't see a place for these. Anybody know what the heck they are??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

... it's a 2017 Rebel 5.7L V8, if that makes a difference. Thanks again!
Not to sound like a dick but the transfer case is what makes the 4wd work. The axle housing holds the differential which has your spider gears and axle shafts.
Do you know what size differential unit you have? I'm not sure how long they ran the 8.25 in the 1500s I know as late as 2002 for sure, my 2007 has the 9.25.
I've taken apart both of those diff units (open diffs) and neither one has the pieces pictured. I've taken apart several limited slip/locking diffs usually in the form of a ford. So its possible they had something to do with a LSD system but if so......where????

If it had a hole in the center for a bolt it might be a lock for the side bearing adjusters.
You don't sound like a dick, you sound like you know more than I do. I had to Google it. I used the wrong term. Yes, it is the differential. And yes, the original info sheet calls it an anti-spin differential. I don't know what determines the size. Thanks.
Okay, so after watching probably a dozen YouTube videos, I finally found one where a guy very briefly mentioned these things as he was putting a differential back together. There is a small gear that each of the axles runs through just before they get their C-clips. On the backside of those gears are a bunch of large, flat washer-like rings that the video guy referred to as a "clutch pack". The mystery pieces sit in some semicircular spots inside whatever else is in that housing, and they sort of keep those clutch pack rings in place.

Those clutch packs are what make the limited slip function. I've personally never pulled apart a ram LSD that had anything like those but I did quit wrenching for dodge in 2007. Glad your getting it figured out.
