Well I'm taking my truck to the dealership for my appointment to have a couple things done. I dont think my garage door opener is working and a couple interior lights aren't working and I have some random interior noises to. I'm dropping it off and taking the service manager for a ride so he can locate were the noises are coming from. I'm doing this over my lunch break and told them I need a loaner vehicle so I can get to and from work but they told me they save loaner cars for major repairs which isn't going to work for me. I bought a extra warranty for the truck when I got it and its suppose to cover loaner vehicles so I guess we will see how this ends up going

If you have Max Care, and they can't fix it in a day, they are suppose to get you a rental car. That is a bit different then a loaner, which as far as I have seen is not common anymore for dealerships. Take your Max Car info with you or call RAM today and let them know. The key is having to keep it for more then a day.

Well Im pretty sure it's not max care, it's a warranty from the dealer that I probably shouldn't have got but it's only $5 a month

Dealership warranties are not worth 1 penny for the most part, it is not even covered if you are in the neighboring state & have an issue

You will find that a Mopar backed extended warranty works well in Canada, USA & Mexico

Mopar extended warranties, good auto insurance policies & the Automobile Club Memberships, AAA or CAA all cover vehicle rentals
My dealership has not had Loaner Vehicles for the last 10 years, they give customers a voucher to take to Enterprise Rent a car & Enterprise in my area only has Ford Cars & they have no trucks or vans

Well the service manager told me they cant really do anything for me, which kinda pissed me off after spending $40,000 on a truck that only has 8,300 miles on it currently

Kinda the same thing no matter where you go today. Maybe suggest checking with your auto insurance company..??? There might be a chance that a rental may be covered in there. Worth a shot anyway. My insurance company covers me for rental cars.

Well it's not about about the loaner vehicle they couldn't help me with, they said they couldn't help me with any of the work that needed done.

Its time to have a FRIENDLY chat with the Service Manager - or the Dealer Manager/Owner. If they will not fix "warranty issues" you should document specifically what needs fixing and the person who refused your request and why. If you have that on your Service Agreement that you sign when you pick up the vehicle thats even better but still document everything so you don't forget who said what and when. Don't get testy because that rarely ever works and just locks people into their previous position. Once you have documentation you can move up the cycles to RamCares and beyond if necessary even start preparing a case under the Lemon Law in your State. Most disputes are best resolved at the lowest level though.

Well I'm not the biggest fan of the dealership I went to but they are close to me. But the next thing I'm gonna do is try a different dealer, I'm gonna go to that dealer on Monday and set up a appointment

You have a 2019 truck, what was their reasoning for not being able to help you? Could they not tell if the buttons/lights didnt work, like you mentioned? its clearly not outside of the bumper to bumper warranty, so Im interested to know why they couldnt handle a couple minor issues.

I would be driving fast and far away from that dealership. Luckily, there are usually plenty of Dodge/Jeep/RAM dealers to choose from.

This is what happened, I had the service manager ride with me because I was hearing some noises coming from the ac vent on the passenger side closest to the door, it didn't matter if the ac was on or off you could hear a noise, it was also happening on the driver side ac vent closest to the driver door but not nearly as often. He rode with me and he heard it and I showed him a couple other noises to which he heard. He said that trying to fix the noises from the ac vents would be trying to find a needle in a hay stack and it's so new it would be hard to find. He also said because its new everything that was tight could be loosening up. I also told him my garage door opener wasnt working and I know how to set them up, I even followed the directions in the manual and nothing worked. The service manager told me to call a chysler help line or something like that to help set it up but Its clearly not working.

Incompetent f*&k$...!!!! There is NO EXCUSE for them to not fix your truck! Call FCA and tell them this is exactly how & why their dealerships are shitholes, and why their customers bash the hell out of 99% of them. That guy would be fired in a heartbeat if that was my shop. You DONT blow the customer off by giving them LAME excuses. He should have AT LEAST TRIED to bring it in and look at it, but he didnt even do, that! I agree, find another stealership, it might even be 10% better than the last one you went to. I feel bad for everybody on here that has had bad experiences with dealers. It really sucks that FCA WONT EVER hold every one of them ACCOUNTABLE for 100% of THEIR incompetent dealerships.

Then again, if FCA hadn`t set the bar higher than their standards, people wouldnt expect as much in quality.
FCA`s ego exceeds their talents.

Hi 2019ram1500,
I'm sorry your experience at the first dealer was unsuccessful. Please send us a private message if you would like any extra assistance while your truck is being serviced at the next dealer.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the reason. why you should never buy a vehicle, which just came out- wait for a year or two- and then...

Yeah- that's why I always wait, until the first edition is gone and see, if the issues, complained about are fixed with the second or third edition and then I consider. The first buyers are usually the test drivers, who are so cheap, they even spend money to be able to give feedback. I ain't the one.

Same here... i try to give it 3, up to 4yrs between trades. But FCA still has problems that they never seem to fix, they just build a new truck around the same problems. Cant wait for the broken exhaust studs to start showing up on the 19 trucks, which most likely havent been fixed. And the new radio`s are even a bigger problem. And what about that coolant cooled rear differential...lol. Cant wait to hear the salty climate people start to b-i-t-c-h when that starts leaking from rusted out components...lol. Oh wait, rusting is normal...lol.
