Was just wondering if anyone has had problems with the washer fluid sensor going bad cause of using RainX washer Fluid? My low fluid light is constantly on and when I took it in to the dealer for the oil change the service guy told me it was the RainX making that light go on. Ive used the same fluid in other vehicles with no problems.

I have the same problem in my truck. Granted mine is an 06 so I'm not sure if it' the same style sensor, though I'd bet it is. For whatver reason it doesnt work for very long with the Rain X washer fluid. At least on mine it's cheap enough and easy to get to so I dont mind having to swap it out every now and then.

I do know the de-icing washer fluid can coat the sensor and cause it to give a false empty reading. I bet this is a similar thing.

Yes. I believe if the Rainx gets below the sensor and dries on it, it leaves a residue that blocks the sensor. I had it happen once. I have not let it get that low again and have had no issue in several months. It seems that its a Ram thing because my Dart has no issues at all using it at all, even when allowed to run low. But its been reported several times on multiple forums that there is an issue.
