We have a water leak in the cab of our Crew Cab that the dealer has tried to fix over 4 times now over the past 16 months of ownership. The constant moisture being trapped in the truck has caused a lot of rust and corrosion to develop all over the cab. We are now starting to get a few weird electrical issues. We are very concerned this is going to caused quite a few problems in the future when we no longer have our bumper to bumper warranty coverage. The truck has just over 10k on it.

I attached a few images of the under dash area, under seat area and back seat. We have found additional rust on the can roof areas as well.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix or remedy theses problems?

They tired numerous times to fix the leak. The third brake light has been replaced 2 times, new tracks and such for the sun roof. They have pulled our interior out some many times now we have rattles and it getting supper annoying!

We are looking into maybe starting a lemon law case. We are paying to much money for a truck that isn't standing up to normal expectations! Our truck isn't right and the quality just isn't right.

I think I found a post on here a while back about the evap hose from the AC system getting clogged up thus resulting in water back flowing to the cab. Not sure if they've check that out?

Really sorry to read and see this. Best of luck to you and hope they get you taken care of one way or another.

I would be concerned about mold. I would contact Customer Service and open a Case File.
We are concern about mold, rust and electrical connection failure from the excessive moisture from the cab leaks!

We have opened up a case file with customer service. Our dealer has just now started seeing things in a new light with our truck.

The truck is at our dealer right now they feel they have gotten the cab leaks fixed for 5th time! But after all the constant high moisture in the truck we aren't happy with it. It looks like a flood truck with the rust, corrosion and faded looking trim every where. The cab leak has caused the value of our truck to tank as well as a level of uncertainty on its electrical worthiness!

Sorry to hear about the issue. I would be pissed! I had a leak (due to my own negligence) When I was adding sound deadening material to the rear wall, I had accidentally moved the rear wall cabin vent which broke the seal and i had a lake under my rear seat for a few days before I realized it. I hope all gets worked out with the truck! Good luck!!

Installing new 3rd brake lights won't fix a leak because the insufficient gasket on the light is what causes the leak; it needs weatherstripping or silicone.

Clogged sunroof drain tubes can cause it too. Also check to see that the actual window does not leak

I don't care what the dealer told me, that truck would be a lemon law case for me in a heartbeat.

Oakey - you never mentioned in your posts, but is there wet carpet or standing water every so often, and if yes where exactly is it?

Its seems it leaks in the driverside rear of the cab. It drips off the headliner onto the back seat and fills the area under the seats.

Most of the time we dont see the actual leak. We just notice moisture in the cab of the truck.

We have been taking it to the dealer when it looks like rain clouds are forming in the truck since its closed up tight.

All the moisture really had done a number to the appearance of the interior!

Sure sounds like the 3rd brake light or the satellite\GPS antenna.

Yikes, with those photos of rust under the vehicle, looks like it was parked or stored in a flood water pond or was exposed to something long enough to cause such a large amount of damage. I have a 15, bought new in AZ, now up in WA. that still looks like new underneath. As far as any interior leaks, and with all the rain here in the northwest, no interior leaks in mine and I don't have a sunroof either. Sorry about your situation and can see why you are so concerned for Chrysler to fix or replace your truck.

My 2015 Ram is up here in Canada...where the salt and brine will eat your truck in no time. Mine looks nothing at all like yours.

I would be pissed.

RAM CUSTOMER SERVICE...WHERE YOU AT? they are on this forum?

Nice....Thanks Desert Ram for contacting them on this thread. I feel bad for this guy, and I don't even know him.

Hope they do the right thing.
Your Welcome Chris88 ;)

We are very fortunate to have Ram Cares on site

There are many cases they have helped out here on the " Z "
that most members are not aware of and it's a very thankless
role they play as emotions run at full speed.
