I'm looking for the best products to use for detailing. I seem to be unsure when I go to the store and don't want to use something that will leave a greasy finish or crack my dash overtime. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've been using Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer.
I think it's around $4 to $5 at the usual places.

I like it because it doesn't leave an oily looking shine like Armor All.
It seems to clean very well.
Leaves a nice clean look.
Is safe for pretty much everything inside including touch screens, the plastic dash screens, chrome, rubber, etc.

There are probably others out there but I know this one works.

If you are looking for a glossy shine be aware it doesn't do that.

Good Luck!

I have been using stuff from Griot's Garage. Really high quality (and priced accordingly). Used to show my Jaguar S-Type R in shows and routinely won awards and used nothing but Griots.

A few years ago, I traded in our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 70k miles, and the guys made me produce the registration to prove it was 7 years old!! Looked like brand new.

Several major car museums (including LeMay here in Tacoma) use their stuff as do a bunch of high end car dealers in the area (Bentley, Ferrari, etc.). My 2011 Saab 9-5 just turned 50k this summer and even after a 5k summer trip still looks like new. Hoping to do my Fall cleanup in the next couple of weeks.

Clean & Shine

I've been using Meguiar's products for many years. Good stuff and never disappoints me. I've tired newer detail companies products and always come back to Meguair's. Their "Ultimate" product line is excellent!

Since you are in Canada I recommend research on autogeek and eshine.ca and order through eshine. I have used Meguiars and Einzett on the interior dash surfaces but will be trying Klasse VLR based on good reviews.

I use Lexol on the leather and in my wife's car it has worked great over the past few years.

Anybody found something good for all the plastic trim on a RamBox truck? Especially tough with all the sun fade down here south of Atlanta. Thinking about using the Mother's back to black but was going to ask at the good detail shop here sometime. Just gave the truck the first rinse down, no point in the full clean since it will get dirty at the track next week. And something to keep the black wheels good, might have to swap to better brakes pads since my wheels were getting grey in days and I don't ride the brakes.

My "spare" time is very limited, so when I do get the chance to wash my truck, I simply use a car wash soap of any kind then blast the whole truck with Eagle 1 Spray Wax. I put it on dry, not on a wet panel. Wipe it all down and that thing is good as new. great stuff. Protects very well. Interior I use basic window cleaners and basically water on a microfiber towel to do everything else.

I did the Mothers system this weekend with my Groits 6" and 3" polishers.
Claybar, Glaze and then Meguiars NXT 2.0 with a final coat of Mothers Reflections Top Coat. The truck looks amazing.

I used the Back to Black on the plastic parts including the rails.

I really like the Mothers products. Great results for a really fair price.
