I have a well. It has lots and lots of iron in it. I keep seeing threads with "simply rinse off with a hose". Well I can't do that because then the water creates runs almost. Shadow like stuff. It's kind of hard to explain but if you've seen it you'll know what I mean. So my hose is basically out. Usually I'll have to take a few 5 gallon buckets upstairs to my bathtub and fill them there a few times. That gets tedious..

So here's my question. Does anyone know of a cheap product that filters the iron out of my water from my hose? Or something of that sort?

Or even just a better way to rinse off my truck?

Thanks.

You must have a water filtration system for the house. Correct? If so, Just get a male faucet (to garden hose) adapter from Home Depot and screw it onto your kitchen sink faucet. Then the female end of your garden hose will screw onto the end of your faucet and you're good to go.

You can install a micron filter on your outdoor tap as well. It won't soften the mineral deposits, but it will remove a lot of the larger particulates. My uncle has a 10 micron system on his outdoor faucet that he fills the dog run dishes and washes the trucks/trailers with.
