I currently have 265-75-16 on my 01 Dodge 4x4....thinking bout going with a 2" lift and shockes and possibly throwing some 285s on there...what size would i need to cover the 265 and the 285? I kinda like the OE style bushwackers over the pocket style cause mine isnt exactly a monster truck...

It depends on your wheel offset. The higher the positive number, the less the tire/wheel sticks out from the side of your truck.

Offset explained:

How to measure offset and see the effect of more or less offset on your wheels:

My old Ultra wheels with the 33" X 12.5" tires stuck out quite a bit, almost 3" and the only flare that would cover that was the Bushwacker pocket style flare. I'm guessing that the offset (backspacing) was somewhere around +10 or +12.

I now have some KMC XD Addict wheels with LT285/75RX18 tires with a +18 offset and only have a bit less than 1.5" of tire sticking out so I'm going with the Extend-A-Fender flares from Bushwacker.

Bushwacker's website has some good info and if you haven't checked it out, do it!

take a straight edge (like a ruler) and tape measure out to the truck.

Put one end of the ruler on top of the tire (stand it up vertically) and line it up with the vertical face of the fender.

Now, measure from the ruler face to the outside of your tire. That will tell you how much tire sticks out past the fender. Then find a flare that will cover that much.

It's hard to tell from the pics just how much is sitting out there.

I have the 275R60 20's on my Ram. I just put the Bushwhacker extend-a-fender flares on it.
