exactly what doz said. get a fastman t/b and some headers. go with JBAs if emissions are a factor. Go with American racing if you have the money and plan to get a custom dyno tune.

after that I'd go cam or forced induction.

edit: don't forget about an Edge or Circle D torque converter...something in the 2600-2800 rpm range.

long tubes will come with a y-pipe. if you go shortys then you'll want to buy one. dual 2.5" in and 3" out.

go with a 85mm t/b.

replace your 203 degree thermostat with a 180 degree one. it'll help the engine run a little cooler and prevent power loss from heatsoak.
