Anybody having any issues with a higher pitched whistle noise coming from the gap where the mirror folds in?

I notice it after I reach about 40mph and it just gets worse the faster I go. If I put my finger over the gap it stops.

Any fixes out there or cases I can bring up to the dealer?

Thanks!

My mirrors don't whistle on my 19 Laramie so I'd guess is the fix is to replace it as not all do it. Probably hard to safely get a video but it shouldn't be hard to show the service tech the problem.
I do hear airflow over them but not a whistle.

Do a little checking on your own. If you think its that gap, put a piece of tape over it and see if it quits. If it does you can help your tech take care of problem quicker and get your truck back to you quicker.

It does stop when I cover the gap with my finger. It's just extremely annoying hearing it while I drive with the window down. I'll be at the dealer with the issue soon.

No, just air flow noise over mine. I've got that same whistle, but it's coming from the windshield area. Usually at 50 mph and higher to highway speeds. Does anyone know if these trucks have active noise cancelling built in for road noise elimination? I know that sounds weird, but that is something I overheard in the Dodge repair waiting room.

Mine has been in the shop three times for this issue. We thought it was windshield, but now they are investigating further. Currently it has been at the dealer for 2 1/2 weeks with no source of the whistle found. I'll post here when they finally figure it out!

I can’t imagine driving with the windows down; but if I did, I wouldn’t be concerned about wind noises.

Are you aware that modern vehicles are aerodynamically designed to operate with the windows up? They usually get better gas mileage with the windows up, even when using the A/C, than when driving with the windows down.

Even when parked; the sound reduction levels in general are noticeably higher with the windows up than when open.

It’s not wind noise. It is a high pitched whistle. Like a flute. As far as the mileage with the ac on. I don’t think that is accurate considering I had the ac on yesterday and the start assist kept kicking on to power the ac. But I do appreciate the input. Just want this very expensive vehicle to be right

First time Ram owner here, has there been any progress on a fix? Extremely frustrated that I can’t drive my beautiful and expensive truck with my window down. The noise immediately stops when I put pressure on the part of the side view mirror that actually houses the mirror, not the part that folds directly.

Yes,
The dealer replaced the whole mirror ans it solved the problem. It looked like the pieces on the old one didnt fit together right and the new one is a tight fit

can you give any more information on the fix for your tea kettle noise ? My 2019 is doing the same thing. In shop currently. Tech is confused. This sounds like a very common reported problem. Yours was Fixed with replacing the mirror?

I had this same problem too,the left side mirror was replaced too and fixed it.It was annoying.I wasn't too happy what the first tech said that looked at it,nothing wrong with it.I was hot and the service manager took care of it on the spot. The 2nd tech that looked at and found it was the mirror not fitting right.
