Just purchased a Toro (51609) electric leaf blower to reduce the wiping down of the Ram. I have read that if the vehicle has a good coat of wax the blower will reduce the drying time, also reducing the damaging of the paint finish. I have used a gas leaf blower in the past, but it was clumsy due it's weight. Anybody else use this method for drying off the Ram?

I do! The leaf blower is awesome for getting water out of those little nooks and crannies they like to sit in...I hate water spots after I've cleaned the truck for an hour. It makes hand drying a lot easier too once you get the big puddles of water off.

I use it on the grille, wheels/tires, mirrors, bumpers, the tonneau cover and door handles.
I use waffle weave towels on the paint- It might just be because my truck is black but when I tried to blow dry the paint it left little streak marks that were hard to wipe off.
It saves a lot of bending and stooping especially on the wheels.

If you have a good sealant on your truck the water blows right off. If you just have a layer of wax, the water may not glide off the finish as easily.

My truck is going on 1 year old and proud to say I'm 98% scratch free. It's been clayed twice, polished out once (non-abrasive) when I first got it, sealed twice and waxed a hand full of times. I have to attribute that to using the leaf blower.

Is there no concern for blowing debris (whatever the blower sucks up from the ambient air) onto the truck and cause damage/scratches?

Couldn't you just drive it?

You can drive it.... but you gotta go 175 mph for about 10 minutes and you end up 30 miles from your house!:gy:

A good sealant is Wolfgang 2.0. Look at autogeek for other options.
