Ok so I'm on my iPhone, I'm at elk grove dodge getting a remote start system installed so please forgive any errors.
Since iv last posted I have gotten Elbow deep in audio witch includes
Pioneer 3200 BT head unit
Pioneer front and rear door speakers
DVD player bypass for the deck
Amp
Speaker box
Cap
Amp kit
Under rear seat box
And two 12's
Before anyone ask's no the CANBUS system is not a problem and no I did not pay the 80 dollar's for the expansive harness.
From my trials and tribulations I will post the most pain in the a** things I came across.
Deck nothing that bad with this, I originally ran a fuse tap for the "power" but I eventually said to he'll with it and just tapped the cig lighter. I had to purchase the 07 Larimee dash and used a metra dash kit(it's a double din) the dash looks great but it's the wood grain on top and silver on bottom, if u have the silver door inserts like I did the answer is no it does not match the silver 100% but the only person that will notice is u. My friends an wife can't tell a dang diffrence. The metro dash kit fits great but once again if I haddent installed it I probably wouldn't notice the hit line gap on the top. Other then that thoe it's the only things to be said about the radio
The door speakers in front were a lilting deeper then stock so I brought the factory spaces to an audio shops and they made me some just a hair thicker I couldn't tell u how much thicker but they fit fine a coast $75 a piece. Other then that the door speakers are great.
Nothing to much to tell about the amp or amp kit or cap just that I will be putting a kinetic batter under the passengers seat soon because I have a 2400 watt amp and it's dimming the crap out of my lights at night.
Ok, speaker box. Here's where I have noticed ALOT o debate about things.. Here's what I know. I searched long and hard and the best box I could find for my needs (SPL[speakers go thump]) is the car audio factory jumbo 2 12's box it's 7 inches deep and I'm running ARC audio subs. Not iv owned a few popular cars and they have all had respectable systems in them an all have has 12's cause I don't care what anyone says 12's to the naked ear and butt in seat will outbeat 10 of equal price with equal amp. And this truck hotta harder then my 97 camaro with type r 12's by wayyyy far.yes the seat does sit up a lil higher then normal but this box came with some pretty dang sturdy speaker grills Aka protect from seat. So yes people can sit back there and once again no one can tell the seats higher but u. So there it is
I anyone has any questions at all just post and I will be back to u ASAP and about the box trust me if ur looking for pure bump this box is ur best bet without having one custom built and raising ur seat.
