Sooo I just bought myself a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500. It's the SLT Laramie and fully loaded. It has the 5.9 V8. I'm gonna need new tires soon. The stock wheels are in the truck. What's the widest tires on can put on these stock wheels? I cant put pics of the wheels I have but they are the 16" stock chrome normal 5 spoke wheels I guess you would call them?? Any help would be great. Thanks y'all!

ok the real question is how wide are your rims, overal diameter doesnt really matter but width does... the wider the tire and narrower the rims the more center wear you will have and will chop the life of the tires big time... you can try to measure you rims but thats hit or miss... I would google it... my stock 20's are 9 inches wide and I have 12.5 inch tires on mine... minimum width for 12.5's is recommneded to be about 8-8.5"... if your tires are 8 or less its probably a safe bet to go with 10.5's or maybe 11's if you can find them imo
