Figured I'd ask in the Canada section since I know the states have things like the MM Warranty Act and we don't. Have yet to install my JBA longtubes and one reason being is I'm concerned about losing my powertrain warranty? Anyone know if this is going to be the case? Might wait to install them for another year or two if that's the case. Not willing to lose warranty on the ever problematic dodge trans just for some headers.

This is where having a truck imported from the states (like my uncle did, before I bought it) voiding any warranty anyway is a good thing lol. I wish I could help but your best bet is to just ask the dealership where you bought the truck. Since you don't want to void your warranty then you can have the answer straight from them!

As far as I know, the only way a warranty can be void is if the dealer/ manufacturer can prove that the mod was a cause of the issue. For example, if your muffler falls off and you have tinted windows, they can't blame the windows for the failure of the muffler...

EDIT: That said, if your muffler falls off and you have an aftermarket header, chances are that you'll have an uphill battle against the warranty department!

That is only true in the USA that has the Magnuson-Morris Act, Canada has no such legislation and it is at the discretion of the dealerships to honour or void warranties. It's important to be on good terms with the dealership service adviser and know if the dealership is mod friendly. Places like Airdrie Chrysler have been told that they can void warranties for any engine modification by their management, that said, there's still plenty of modded trucks moving through there with intact warranties.
