Hi All, I been going round on what to do with the vehicle situation at the homestead. It was finally decided we would replace my Red 1996 Ram Sport. I ordered that truck exactly the way I wanted it and it took 7 months to be delivered. I can live with 2 months. I will give me time to sell my truck.

I was checking out the Ford with the turbo 6. Not sure if Ford was the way or not. Well, after a bunch of surfing I believe it will be the Ram. What I am looking for exactly is.......

A Blue Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 Quad Cab 6.5'. It's got a HEMI!!!!!! And bucket seats.

I like the engine management system that's incorporated to help with the mileage. I remember years ago on GM I think. They had some kind of 8-6-4 something or another. It will get as good a gas mileage as my old 5.9 I bet.

The truck you say you're looking for is very non-specific, why would you have to order that? Have you looked online at dealer inventories?

I did the search out to 200 miles and There was a perfect match or two but they were missing the Sport premier group. And not sure about the rear end ratio.

I am sure I will hear from them tomorrow.

Hi All, I stopped at the dealer today. I like...... They did not have my truck there but they have a line on a couple that are very close. Extra stuff. I want Blue. I have the paperwork for a red sport 4x4. It has trailer brakes, Class IV hitch, Sport Performance Hood, Anti-Spin rear, 3.92. Out of that there about $1200 in extras I was not looking for. They are also looking into a Blue one but had not gotten all the info on it yet. Couple questions....

Why do I need the Anti-Spin rear if it's a 4x4?

What does the Sport Performance Hood do for me??? Other than make the truck look more BAD.....

The hood is just an appearance thing. The "Anti-Spin" is the same as a limited slip rear. Its for better traction when ur in 2WD. Its so both wheels get power instead of the the right rear.

Ok, So it's a 2 wheel drive thing. No Prob.

That's an $800 hood. Just for looks. Hmmmmm. Hope the other one does not have it then. hahahaha. I can save $800 happily.

Oh, I did find that the 10 Speaker setup is Alpine. I have always been a fan of Alpine.

Well it works weather ur in 2WD or 4WD. For me I figure its a must have weather I'm on road or off.

Well, nothing like a done deal. A 2012 Ram 1500 Sport Quad Cab 4x4 6'4" box in True Blue Pearl. It's way overboard. Saying what is not on it is the way to describe it.

The incentives here in NC are crazy. $3500 off just because. And I handed over an Affiliate Rewards control number. Done deal.

nice, I just ordered my 1500 sport in white Tuesday. Has every feature I could put into it. Its just as nice as my Laramie is that I will be trading in. Did you order it or they had it in stock somewhere?

For me they found the truck at another dealership. They are trucking it over today. I ordered my last Ram back in 1996 and it took 7 months. Hopefully their turnaround time is better now ;-). They offered me $800 for it in trade. I will post it to AutoTrader and Cars.com first.
