:4-dontknow: 1 have a 199 dodge ram conversion van. 120000 miles well maintained. but now whenever it gets wet out it will not run. I have done what was obvious to me a complete tune up. On recommendation of a mechanic it has also had a new ECM. any suggestions or experience withb this problem would be great.

I had this happen once when my 95 only had 7k miles on it. Wouldn't start when it rained. Had it towed to the dealer under warranty. It was a cracked cap.

Same here. Couldn't even see a crack, but soon as I replaced the distributor cap, the problem went away.

Old skool thing we used to do. Spray the wires, and cap with WD40 to keep the water out. Kinda weak answer, but that is all I have.

WD-4O is a good troubleshooter, if it works, change cap, rotor, and wires, and do the wire re-route in the process...
