A couple of days ago, I had my subscription renewed and radio reactivated. My problem is that the display has "XM SERVICE LOADING, PLEASE WAIT" I can not get rid of it. I have spent a day on the telephone with Sirius and they tell me it is my radio. I tried to explain to them that it was working good the day my subscription ran out and that same day I had it reactivated and have not been able to use it. AM and FM work good. They tell me to carry it to the dealer and I tell them that I did not have a problem until they reactivated it. This is on a 2015 Ram and I have had XM radio the entire time. I have had refresh signals sent with engine on and off, doors open sitting in the middle of a field. I have tried to explain to them that I have done all of these steps several times, but they have their check list to go by. I have even tried disconnecting the battery and that did not help. Anyone have any ideas. I have the 8.4.

My radio works fine, except that in the middle of the screen when i use XM, it also reads
"XM SERVICE LOADING, PLEASE WAIT"
It just started doing that today

Try doing a soft reset by pushing in the volume and tuning button at the same time until the EVIC reboots.

My 8.4A doing the same thing after changing from orig owner/subscription to mine. Can't tune to any Channels, Just displays "XM SERVICE LOADING, PLEASE WAIT". Tried getting new signal from XMSirius multiple times.
Did hard reset by holding Cold & Hot buttons to get into main menu and then reset XM Radio - same thing going on. Also tried roscoes's soft reset suggestion. No luv. Any body have any luck?

Sorry, i forget what happened to my RA4 8.4N radio
It just started working correctly by itself the next day

A couple days ago on the Challenger Forum I frequent there were lots of complaints about Uconnect constantly rebooting. Calls to Dodge received the response that they thought XM/Sirrius sent some sort of signal that was screwing everything up and that no one could start working the problem until Monday. This may be related to that.

I get this message on my truck and on my '16 Charger. Sometimes the message doesn't go away until the vehicle is restarted.
I don't think the problem has anything to do with Sirius. It started after the software update that was pushed out about 6 months ago. Prior to that release, the satellite service loaded quick, now it takes 10 to 20 seconds or more. Most times the music will start playing long before the message goes away.
There has to be some bad coding in the latest software update.

Thanks for chiming in here to help. This started when orig owner stopped his subscription and I'm trying to move mine over. My 8.4A XM Radio settings will not even give me my Radio ID #. I had to get the from XMSirius via my VIN. XM radio won't change channels at all - unresponsive. Tried all the soft & hard re-boots. May try reloading software update 17.11.xxx? Any other ideas? Love the new to me Ecodiesel and Laramie stuff, just want my Sat Radio...

There was a Uconnect update pushed out over the air recently that caused this; I believe it only affects the 2018+ versions with Apple CarPlay. I am not sure if they've sent out a fix yet

Fix Found! XM Radio

Ok Finally figured it out. Held Hot & Cold buttons to get to Engineering Controls, went to "Restore Factory Defaults". It took 4-5 minutes then wham - XM Radio Preview channel came on. I requested another wake-up signal from XMSirus and had my subscription up and running.

I have the resent update still on a flash drive and I reinstall it completely and works temporarily... like a week or so and then back to messing up. Does factory resetting lose all my favourites?

I’d rather not have to spend $100plus for them to reflash it.
sadly I factory reset my radio. Seems to work no, but 4 years of picking favourites on my radio is all gone.

I’ve have had this problem for months can’t even get a signal to my truck.
