#1 It's an EV, I care...... #2 It's an EV, I care...... #3 It's an EV, I care!!!!!!!......... The EV wins by feet in a quarter mile. The TRX and the Raptor both would beat the EV by MILES................... Till empty!
I corrected it above for ya... cause it you truly didn't care, you'd never had read the whole post or watched the video and just said t yourself "I don't care", and moved in.

These all come from various websites, I don't/can't own any so I have no skin in the game.

Rivian range: 400 miles

TRX range on full tank? 396 (when combined highway/around town used).

Raptor on fule time : 390 (using same method as TRX).

Granted, all above are unloaded, not towing scenarios, and you'll never see a Rivian blasting across the desert, until some little rich kid gets hold of daddy's and decides he wants to be a YouTube star.

The best part of that whole video? Not a Rivian leaving everyone in their dust, but the 30+yr old Syclone handing the Raptor it's ass. And no one noticed they never raced the TRX agains the Rivian while towing the Syclone.

Look at the video for what it is.. a rah rah of the Rivian, and a bashing of the Raptop.

Well thank you for reading my mind and changing "My" words. For the record, "MY WORDS" "I REALLY" DON'T CARE! Keep the EV'S together, Keep the ICE vehicles together. People need to stop trying to compare them. Talking EV'S to me is like saying my circular saw is faster than your drill. It's not apple's and apple's. I don't have a dog in the fight either because "I really don't care" If anyone likes EV'S that's what you should want and get but it should also be ok if I don't care. It use to be ok in the old USA if we had different opinions.

My statement stands... if you REALLY didn't care, you'd never have posted. But, for some reason, you had to reply your displeasure with a video showing a Raptor getting it's ass handed to it not once, not twice, but 3 times (your #3 "don't care" was directed at a gas powered truck showing the Raptor what 30yr old incadescent taillights look like, not a EV). But hey, what I did was rewrite it to show MY opinion of what you wrote.

Do I like EV's? No, but they are here, and we gotta live with em. I personally get a huge laugh out of hearing people buying them, and finding out the range is nowhere near what was advertised...and just start laughing when i see one sitting in a charging station when I go into a restaraunt, and come out and still see them sitting there, looking at their phone, trying to find a tree they can hug.

That's just my opinion...

Then saw this video and cried cause you weren't as bad as you thought... beaten by a electric pickup, and then beaten again by same pickup towing another truck, which was offloaded and it beat you again...

Drag Race
Rivian is badass for what it is. But it's not in the same class as any ICE vehicle no matter what. Also..I would love to own a Raptor R...that's a serious machine. Of course I still like Ram but I appreciate what Ford has too. In terms of how a EV truck ranks...it's about weighing it against other EV trucks, not trucks that don't even have similar power trains.

I'll be honest with you, I didn't watch it long enough to see 30 year old truck race. I only pay attention to the big 3 auto makers and Ford is on the bottom of my list of the 3 but I'd pick a Ford ICE over an EV. I also stick by my opinion, I still don't care!

Look up Hoovie and Lightning on YouTube.. might change your pick
Lighting (Ford) Lighting (electric) both on the bottom of my list. I only pay attention to 3. Chrysler, GM and Ford, in that order and 0 electric. I know I'm old school but "I" like it that way. So thankful I got to grow up in the good days! The one thing that makes me happy to be my age and being older and not having a lot of time left is where we are at, and where we are going!

Nothing wrong with old school, I'm same way with many things. I still drive a car with a manual transmission, I bought a 13yr old design of a truck and a 2WD regular cab and not even a hybrid at that. What's even scarier, I load the bed with stuff and use it as a truck, not a glorified mini-van.

Would I buy a Rivian, Lightning. GM's offering, or any electric ? No, technology is too new, I dont want to constantly worry about range when I can pull into any station and fill up, grab a drink and chips and be gone in 5 minutes vice sitting there diddling myself for an hour waiting for it to charge.

Personally, I'm waiting to hear the owners whining when this thing runs out of juice in the middle of the woods or mountains. jeep.jpg

The Rivian is a cool pickup. It has a better payload and towing capacity than my 1500. It’s it’s size is between a Ranger and a F150. I need a full sized pickup. The F150 Lighting is pretty good too. I would consider it for a work truck. The main reason I would not buy a EV pickup is when towing a TT you end up with ~100 mile or so range. Major deal killer.

Well; I didn’t watch anything; and I think the current EVs are a joke, or “an answer to a question” that no one among us regular folk asked, or want. 🤬👎
Couple weeks ago I put something up on Craigslist . Guy shows up in a Chevy Bolt and was actually bragging that he forgot to charge his car while at work, and fell asleep in a parking lot in Staten Island charging it up.. I told him not to park it near my garage :)
