Never seen it on the EVIC. Mine is an analog looking speedo. Are you talking about the Average MPG?

 

hey man i know what your talking about u mean a digital reading of your speedo i was able to do that on my old 300c on it you had to hold down the music note button and the compass button on the steering wheel for 5 seconds and it would pop up on the evic i havnt tried it on my ram yet but it might work the same

 

Yup, thats what Im talking about the digital speedo reading. I tried pushing different combos on the sterring wheel but with no success. Maybe only certain truck got it i dunno. The first truck I test drove had it and it was a 4x4 with auto starter SLT. I have the Big Horn edition so maybe its not on this version.

 

Interesting. My 09 Laramie didn't have digital speedo and neither does my 10 Big Horn.

My Chally SRT-8 has that option, along w/ 0-60 timer, 1/8mi, 1/4mi, braking distance, G-force, etc....

I'm not sure about the Rams though

 

The Rams do NOT have an engineering mode in the EVIC like the LC/LX cars.

 

Ok, so they don't have the engineering mode (with all the cool bells and whistles like on the LC/LX cars), but is there more than one version of EVIC for the Rams? Reason I ask is that my EVIC on my 09 Ram Big Horn seems to have a very short list of features, and appears to be missing some of the basic items, such as the TPMS display. I know others are seeing the 4 tire pressure readings (similar to what I see in my Challenger EVIC), but I don't have a Tire Pressure option in mine.

I read another thread on here about there being older versions that don't have the MDS economy light, and elsewhere that you can add the trailer brake to the EVIC display, so that leads me to believe that the software has to have different versions. Question is, why would a truck with TPMS not have the display active in the EVIC???

 

Im pretty sure i wasnt seeing things lol. When test driving the 2010 SLT truck the sales women showed the speedo reading on evic. I went back to the dealership to ask about it. They said its not on the EVIC. And the sale women who sold me the truck wasnt their so I couldnt have ask her.

The 09's don't display the tire pressures like the 2010's do. That was a change for the new model year. Hence no TPMS details.

 

My 09 Laramie did not show tire pressures or MDS status. The TPMS was an idiot light that would come on if one of the tires was low. You had to figure out which tire by checking the pressures.

My 10 does show tire pressure and I also have an ECO indicator that comes on.

 

As Remerson said, this is for lx models only...300's, Chargers and Magnums.
I had this on my Charger and only used it 1 or 2 times..it was fun to go through and play with it once or twice. In the evic there was also a 0-60 fastest time speed where the data of your fastest time would retain in the memory.

My fastest 60 time in my Charger R/T road and track was 5.07...with the mods I had i knocked nearly a second off it from factory. The Srt8's can do even better....but yeah, no dice on the digital speedo with our rams.
