Anyone know of a good pistol safe for the interior of a 4th gen quad cab w/a front bench seat with the fold up console?

I have a Nanovault. I picked it up at Meijer on the cheap on clearance. Not sure if it would fit your needs or not. I carry a S&W Model 60, XDS and an XDM and it fits both just fine. You would have to find a way to mount the cable lock...I have buckets so mine is easily mounted...with a fold up, you'd have to find a way to secure it to the console somehow. I'm sure it's doable.Nothing else, you could run the cable out the back and mount it to the bench seat mounting.

A buddy of mine has that exact vault and it works well, I was more looking for something that appears more factory or, "built in" if you will. Possibly a product that utilizes the inside of the center console, or the cargo area under the rear seats. I tried a quick google search but didn't come up with a whole lot but thank you for the suggestion

Yeah a more factory approach would look nicer. It's a shame our glove boxes don't lock like the older Rams. Why they took that away I'll never know.

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't truly see the point in locking up a firearm past keeping the vehicle locked. if someone wants something bad enough, and if one lock doesn't stop them, I doubt two would. Granted we have a duty to keep firearms out of the wrong hands, but if you keep a gun locked in your vehicle out of site to anyone outside the vehicle (in glovebox or center console), nobody is the wiser. I'd think more burglaries happen when you have to obviously lock something up in a box, and someone watches you do that. My wife wanted the lock boxes though for our pistols, so we got them.

Yeah the locking glove box in my charger was definitely a nice feature. I will probably end up going with the box you first suggested under the drivers seat

Ive actually got the same set up in my truck as far as seat configuration goes. Ive been looking at modifying the pull out tray under the radio with some form of cylinder style lock. Keeps the tray from opening when locked, and also keeps the truck looking fairly factory. Not sure it would do a ton of good as far as keeping someone out for very long, but it would be locked at least..
