I just bought a 2001 Ram 1500 Sport with the Off Road Package. It has the Dana 44 front axle and the brake caliper is a single piston without a separate mounting bracket. All the parts stores are only listing the two piston caliper with the separate mounting bracket. Anybody have the source or at least a part number for the single piston caliper?

Well I can't find anything on 2001 with a single piston. I didn't realize offroad package had different calipers either, but I'm no expert. Have them look up the caliper for a 1994 ram 1500, I think that will get you where you need to be. I feel like your Ram received an axle swap, or something funky. I would try to dig a PN off your existing caliper.

Compare it to the caliper they list for the 2500 big single piston, might find they are the same.
No, 2500's had dana 60's. You might want to look it up on rockauto, Then look at different years it's posible the axle was swapped.
Have heard of this, no experience firsthand. Post is kinda disjointed, but seems only to apply to 2000? up dual piston 1500 calipers.
