Hi all, newbie here. I wanted to pass on a problem I had with my AC. It was leaking into the passenger floorboard but I couldnt find a leak. After searching on here a little bit, I found some info that helped out. Turns out the leak was from the drain that protrudes thru the firewall. I thought it was the air box at first but the water was coming out of the drain and ran back to the firewall. I believe is seeped thru the firewall seal and into the cab. Once I put a hose on the drain, problem gone! Just wanted to pass this on to everyone in case they come across it. I love the board, great info!

I found it, little black nipple sticking through the firewall underneath the accumulator/drier on the passenger's firewall. It's kind of hard to see but you can easily find it by feeling along the wall with your hand under the drier. I used a 1 foot piece of 5/8" inside diameter, 3/4" outside diameter hose and a hose clamp. This keeps the water from weeping into the cab between the metal and plastic housing and making it to the floorboard.

BroncoLee,

Glad you found it and you hit the nail on the head! It bugged me a lot thinking I was going to have to take the dash out and replace the evap. Thankfully it was a simple fix and like you said, a foot of hose and a clamp!
