I didn't see a thread for the Black Forest Green Pearl Coat, so I figured I'd start one. It's a rather illusive color to see, typically only noticeable on a sunny day and at high noon. Otherwise, most would assume it's just a black truck. It's a nice sunny day today, and coincidentally, I was walking out for lunch today right around noon when I snapped a pic. It's a lil dirty, hope to get a picture one weekend after a fresh wash.

So, here it is. Black Forest Green with a hint of road grime, dust and dirt:

And how it looks most of the time, black:

Finally, I have been waiting for you to start the BFG thread the way you've been teasing us with your descriptions of its color changing beauty.

It really doesn't look dirty in the first pic.

If this thread gets busy enough I'll stick it with the rest of the popular pic threads

Thanks all. Would like to see more pics of this color. If anyone has it, feel free to join in on this thread - represent! lol.

Think I saw a Jeep Wrangler in BFG yesterday on the way home. So hard to tell unless the sun hits it just right.

I have seen a couple WK2 Grand Cherokees in the color

Love that BFG color. Great choice!

Changing your name to TruBFG yet?
You know, that's not a bad idea. I'm gong to consider it. Or maybe just A_BFG_in_MD ?

Thanks! I think there are only 2 or 3 other members (active) on here who have it. Curious to see if more pop out of the woodwork and post in here. When I do a cars.com 50 mile radius search in my area (and that covers a lot of dealerships in the D.C.-Balt metro), for new Ram 1500's, I don't see any listed as green. I thought maybe they could be categorized under black, but I didn't find any black forest green.

Kinda funny that they have a color that is the combination of her most and least favorite

No kidding. It's like a bad dream!

Nice! Thanks for posting a pic. I’ve never seen an HD in the BFG color. Looks great.

Couple more posts and maybe this thread will reach a sticky thread status up top. *cough* [hint] (mods). :D

I really wanted one that color but all body color not chrome and they don't make body color bfgs. So as an admitted chromophobe I could not get the color I wanted in the sport package. Very dissappointed. My dream is a dual color black forest green on top with either black or granite at the bottom no chrome on a power wagon.

Good job TheBigAl! Thanks for joining in on the thread. Great looking BFG truck! I'm hoping we'll soon get this thread set as a sticky *COUGH* *HINT* *HINT* *MODS?* for the rest of us ellusive BFG guys. Maybe more will come out of the woodwork.

:D

Lookin' clean and shiny, nice work! Must not have been mid-day with that noon sun, can't really see the green lol. That's nice you picked up a set of the chrome 20x9 wheels for your summer set. I really liked those wheels on my 15' Express. I like em' better than the 20x8's that came on my Big Horn.

Sorry to hear about the back!

I also have the Black Forest Green on my 2016 Ram Bighorn.
Best color ever!!!
On a sunny day, one side of the truck in the shade looks black, and the sunny side looks green.
I have people comment on my truck all the time. They always say they thought my truck was black, and then the sun hits it and they say they had no idea it was actually green.

I have to agree with ya! Post up some pics of your BFG Ram when you can.

That is a beautiful color, that would have been my pick if the dealer had one. I chose brilliant black instead.
Still a good choice in color, just hard to keep clean!

I actually thought that I was going to check out a black truck when I saw mine online. Pleasantly surprised when I got there that it was in fact BFG.
That's a great pic there, really shows the BFG, which is hard to do.

Gave mine a bath last night. While I appreciate the fact the sun was set enough as to not put water spots all over it by the time I was done toweling it off, it really is a shame I missed snapping a pic of the BFG showing so well.

It was another great day for a bath. Pulled the truck out around noon and wrapped up everything about 2pm. Snagged a close up of the BFG color with the sun hitting the hood just right. One of these days I need to give it a clay and wax. I realized today that it's been 9 months, which was how long ago I bought the truck. Had it clayed, waxed and polished the week after I bought it.

I just did my BFG truck a few weeks ago using Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax. I've used it in the past on my previous trucks and always had good results. I'm no expert detailer or anything, but I can wash and wax a truck pretty good. When I first bought the truck last October I had a professional detailer clay, wax and seal it since it had been sitting on the dealer lot for 7 months. So this was the first time waxing this one and just under a year later.

I just bought mine recently on Amazon:
