Good morning all, first time to post here. I have a 2012 2500 5.7L HEMI with 93,000 miles on it and it has the check engine light & the gas cap light (I have replaced the gas cap 3 different times with dealer caps) that I just can't get to go off, they have been on for about 8 months now. I had a smoke detection test completed on it and passed. I recently had trouble with it starting when it's cold & stalling occasionally when stopped. I have replaced the throttle body, starter, and I know the battery is good. I would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction to resolve this issue.

What codes are you getting? You got to give a little information if you want help. Cas cap light means there is a gross leak in your EVAP system. The manufactures assume you left your gas cap loose and give you that light so you don't run to the dealer when you forgot to put your gas cap back on. But with both lights on you still got a gross leak. Who smoke tested the system, and did they test it internally or externally. I would be looking at a purge valve or a LDP with the drivability issues your having.

Sorry for the lack of info. The codes I’m getting are P0456 & 0457. Leak detection performed by Pep Boys. The paper that shows passed doesn’t state internal or external, didn’t know to ask. I will look at the purge valve or LDP. At least with your response, I can continue to troubleshoot. Thank you.
