I've done it to my garage floor and my shop floor. It's great. Makes everything easy to clean up and keeps everything much cleaner since it seals in all the concrete dust.

 

If you didn't add the sand, watch your step when it's wet or snowy..... it can be incredibly slippery.

 

Sound like it turned out great.....Looking forward to seeing some pics.....I am going to be building a garage next year....Its been ok'd by the bride....So I am looking at 28 X 40 with a loft.....May have to look at that....

Epoxy floors for garages are great to have. I would love to have one.. If I had a garage, if I had my own house.. Let alone if I was even allowed to park in my parents driveway and not the road.:smiledown: .. Is it against the law to epoxy the section of the road where you park?

 

I did mine epoxy and i threw color flakes into it while wet then a clear coat over top. The flakes looked great

I had mine professionally done (too worried about messing up a DIY job)... cost $3K for my 40x32.

 

The cost was:
-bunches of labor: free (sorta kinda)
-diamond grinder rental $85
-previously mentioned epoxies ~$500 (I can check the receipts later if needed)

I didnt put the gloss over mine. It looks good but I was worried about it getting slippery when wet.
