I'm glad this forum exists. Driving home last night on the interstate, we heard that strange noise (turns out the broken front strap was rubbing against the drive shaft). Immediately pulled over, saw the issue, grabbed a few bungee cords & strapped it in place until I could get home. I'll be reaching out to the dealership this morning with TSB # 14-002-18 REV. A in hand.

Thanks to all.

Johnny, Please let us know what year your truck is and how you make out.

Dropped my truck off at the dealership this morning. Took close to 2 weeks for all of the parts to come in. They did advise that they have had some trucks come in where the frame rail is rotted where the new mounting brackets attach. In that case repairing the frame rail is not covered under the extended warranty, only the new parts and their installation is covered.

Update: new mounting bracket and two new straps installed. My truck was done by early afternoon!

Thanks for update, I'm facing the same issue with grooved driveshaft. Will get more info from dealer after Christmas weekend. I have 2 ratchet straps holding tank up along with aft factory strap.
After this thread, if I lived up there in one of the “salt the road come winter” states, I’d be coating over the strap end, hole in the frame, and everything else around there with a thick coating of 5200. 😳

Fixed under warranty yesterday at dealership, no problems. They did say that the driveshaft was fine to drive with the small groove that I have. They put that in writing, so I guess I should be good to go.
Were you charged anything? Mine just gave out yesterday. I called my dealer and they said to drop it off Monday and they will take a look. But he said they have to look it over to see if I’ll have to pay anything out of pocket

Last night, we heard a rattling noise while driving our truck. We turned around to find out that one of the gas tank straps had snapped off. Well, it's still attached, but dangling. I know there are two straps, and I believe it's the front one that has come off. Will it be in tact enough to get it to the dealership to fix it? I'm trying to do research, and thought I saw somewhere that it could cause a gas leak and start a fire. Photos are from this morning. It's a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500. This was not one of the years recalled for the tank strap, but looks like a similar issue to earlier models. View attachment 141126 View attachment 141125
I just had this happen to my 2016 Ram Laramie. After inspection, the issue I had was the strap pulled right through the frame.

Did your dealer help you out with the scored driveshaft?
My dealership said that I need to replace the driveshaft due to the scoring. They said that the metal is really thin. I have contacted FCA (Canada) to plead my case. Driveshaft was fine before their part failed. Being that this is a recognized issue the shaft replacement should be covered.

Welcome to the Forum!

I believe the part numbers are listed in the TSB noted in Post #25. That TSB also details the warranty extension. If you have a 2013 the warranty covers the parts and labor for the repair unless the frame rail is rotted out where the new brackets are to be mounted. Repairs to the frame rail are not covered by the extended warranty.

Thank you the issue i have is it a Canadian made truck in im in the states.

The TSB specifically mentions it covers the NAFTA region (and others). You should not have any issues getting your truck repaired under the X75 warranty extension.
