Recently picked up a sport shorty, 4x4, 5.7 w/ 392 gears. The plan is to do a 5" Zone lift and 37's. Looking at the skinny Nitto Recon 37x11.5x17's and 0 offset wheels and hoping they will fit with minimal trimming. Tinker's Adventures (YouTube) fit them on a stock 2nd gen Tundra, so I am hopeful that with a 5" lift I will clear. Unless there is any advice against this idea due to excessive rubbing or because I will start breaking things... I can live with 35's. The ride is quite a bit rougher than my 2011 , which was expected, but I am hoping the Fox upgraded shocks might help a bit (yes? no?). I have the zone 4" + Bilstien 5100's on my 2011 and the skid plate hangs super low with 35's. I am hoping it's not the same on this truck. Also, I see a note on the Zone kit that an exhaust mod might be needed to fit the kit, can anybody confirm if it's something a hammer will take care of or am I taking it into a shop for cutting and welding? If anybody wants a nice K&N CAI, I will trade for a good-condition stock intake. DM me.
