I have a 2015 Laramie Limited 1500 with Ram Boxes and have been having a problem with the passenger side Ram Box latch. It started the day I brought the truck home. The problem is when I unlock all the doors (and Ram Boxes) with the key fob, the push button will not open the box lid. Initially when this happened I used the key and had to unlock and lock several times before the button would open the lid. Once I had it opened the push button latch would work fine until I locked the truck, then the same problem occurs. I have taken it to my dealer multiple times already and the problem still exists. They first replaced the actuator, then the button/lock assembly, and now the entire assembly. Still not fixed. Anyone else having/had this problem? Any technical advise would be appreciated. My service rep is going to contact Chrysler on Monday (7/20) to see if they have any other suggestions etc. Anyone with prior experience/knowledge on what needs to be done to fix it once and for all would be greatly appreciated.
Since they have replaced the actuator and latch, I suspect either an adjustment issue with the latch and striker or a low voltage/bad ground problem at the actuator itself that would prevent it from moving with maximum force to release the lock. I haven't seen this personally and don't see any technical assistance cases from Chrysler posted.
