Don't waste your money on a tuner for a gas engine, the return on investment is just not there, the small amount of power you might get you will not feel when you drive the truck. Gas engines are pretty much almost maxed out with the stock tuning.
Now if you had a diesel that is another story, Diesel engines respond well to tunes and you can make upwards as much 100 horse power and even more torque. If you did a custom tune on a diesel you can make even more power but you will be breaking stock parts.
I have been down the gas engine tuner road and always came away disappointed. I have had Hypertech for my old 1997 Pontiac Formula WS-6 Ram Air, a Bully Dog for a Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi and an edge for a 5.7 Hemi and none of them actually made any power you could feel when driving the car or truck.
Now my Ram 3500 5.9 Cummins I had a Bully Dog and when you programmed one of the multiple programs it came with you could feel the difference in power and that tuner had one program Bully Dog called "Crazy Larry" and they warned you that you would be buying a new transmission if you used it and were not careful.
My ecodiesel also responded well with power you can feel from the Green Diesel Engineering tune and trans tune.
Spend your money else where on your truck on things you want for it, but when it comes to a tuner or a cold air aftermarket intake pass on both, your Ram comes with a cold air intake already and it supplies more air than the engine can use already.
One more thing if you insist on buying a tuner know that you will have to run 93 octane fuel once you tune it or you will have pinging that can lead to engine damage. One of the things these people selling turners are doing is advancing the timing as that is one of their biggest tricks to making what little bit of power their tuner makes.
