Thanks so much klonteig.

My Hands Free Module connector has only 0.14V at pin 1.
If yours has 12.5V, I seem to have a power supply problem.

Could be a bad wire/connection somewhere between the TIPM and the HFM...

Or could it also be incorrect programming of the TIPM? Could that cause a loss of power to the HFM?
I had the same problem you have or had with no voltage to pin #1 in the HFM module, that will give you the Uconnect phone not available, also, if you have a screen like in the town and country is the same connector that powers the system. Let me know if any of you still require the info, the problem is a connector in the TIPM or fuse box. I have pictures and how to check it.

My 2011 has had the "uconnect not available" problem for several years...was told a long time ago, that I'd need to invest in a new HF module. No thanks!

I'm curious where the power comes off of the TPM. I have pulled the TPM before, to replace the fuel pump relay, so I'm not afraid to dig in there. I just need to know where on the TPM I need to look for power to the HF module. Diagrams and pics would be much appreciated!

Hi klonteig,

Thanks for the offer to help.

I've attached some files that should help:
  • a picture of the error I'm getting when I press the phone/voice command buttons
  • a picture of the hands free module (behind the glove box)
  • the power wiring diagram for the HFM
  • the connector detail PDF for the HFM

Let me know if you have 12V at the power wire on pin 1 of the HFM connector (it's the red wire with a blue stripe on the left side of the dark gray connector shown in the picture of the HFM)

Let me know if you need more info...

Thanx,
Justin
This is a stab in the dark, since this thread is several years old...but here goes...
My M10 fuse is good, and all the other accessories powered by M10 are working...only the HFM that isn't working. Do you know where, on the TPM, that the power is sent to the HFM? Can I simply run another wire from M10 to the HFM pin #1 for direct power...essentially bypassing the TPM?
