Wind noise from drivers window....

Has anybody else with a 2014 experienced somewhat of a wind noise at the drivers window (maybe mid way up in the rear of the window), that I seem to hear at speeds over 55-60 mph?? I drive a lot on the highway and I'm not sure if its just the normal noise or I'm hearing a faint whistling wind noise, as if air is being buffeted or trapped from the outside trim at those speeds. Its driving me nuts and the truck is brand new with 1500 miles on it.

Now I know that I can bring it up under warranty at my first oil change but I'm pretty sure the dealer is going to see I'm hearing things, 1. because they don't want to have to repair or replace any trim and 2. because they think any brand new truck won't have these issues. The thing is the trim that lines the window from the outside actually can move and be pushed toward the door frame itself. Not sure if that is a defect or not. Whatever the case, has anybody heard this noise at these speeds?

Concerning the wind noise on l/f door, I have a 2014 and all is quiet. How to detect where, cut a piece if printer paper in half. Open the door, you can be seated or outside, place the paper against the weather seal on the door approx. where you feel the noise is coming from. Slowly close the door on the paper. Watch fingers. lol Now attempt to pull the paper out. There should be a noticeable drag on the paper. If not, mark and show the position to the dealer on your next service. Should be a quick fix in most cases. Hope this helps.

For some reason, I can't circle a quote and reply to it, so I'm responding to the last post. So you mean you have the wind noise as well? Its somewhat faint but with the radio off I can hear it just enough. Have you figured it out? I don't believe its coming from the door jam, but maybe more the actual window seal....

2016 Big Horn same wind noise on drivers side. After quite a bit of experimenting with the window and the mirror position, I took a piece of painters tape and placed it on the leading edge of the mirror mount to seal the area the mount meets the door and damn noise is gone. The air is getting between the mount and the door and coming in through the window track at that location. Dealer agreed but said that was NORMAL as they tried my remedy on a few other trucks and wella. I will be either using a carefully placed bead of clear silicon along that edge or pulling mirror off and placing a strip of double sided tape between the 2 surfaces under the mirror mount when I have time.

That's an interesting fix. I have some wind buffeting noise (not sure if its the same as you are describing), but I was chalking it up to the tow mirrors and the just the aerodynamics coming off it. I'll try your trick as well to see if it makes any difference.

The door mirror as explained above was reported to dealers on several occasions
Also in the hinge area of both front doors, you may hear some wind noises

The easiest way to locate where the wind is coming into the door seam, is to put some painters tape & cover the seam between the "A" Pillar & the leading edge of the door
take it for a drive at the speed that the noise is usually heard at. If the noise was not heard, then you know that air was getting into that area.
Before returning to where ever you started the noise test,
Tear off about 15" of the tape & take another drive that allows you to reach that speed needed, if you didn't here the noise during that run, tear off some more of the tape, & repeat the drive.

If you found which area the wind was coming in, buy something like foam with 1 sticky side & run a strip along the doors hinge area
You wouldn't want to put it on the "A" pillar because everyone could see it when the door is open.

I have the full floor console & i am old enough to get S.S. , i can't climb over the floor console, so i would take someone with me if i thought that the wind was coming in the drivers side door

Doesnt antone have warranty anymore? As much as i hate leaving my $61000 truck with an excellent Granite clearcoat paint job and smooth air ride, and the quietest cabin i have been in including my 2012 300 i traded for the RAM....that noise sounds like since so many of you are experiencing this, could become one of those not recalls but service something or rather. Then the awareness and plan to repair might be developed
