I'm sure this has been asked and maybe answered before but I can't find it using the search function. Probably not framing my search phrase right. Anyway, I'm planning to swap the stock silver painted 20x8" alloy wheels on my 2011 SLT for something more appropriate in the fairly near future and trying to get my ducks in a row before then. I don't want to put out a bunch of bucks and find out the new wheels won't fit so I'd like to know what the offset and backspacing is on my stock five spoke alloys. I would think it's listed somewhere but not having any luck, further, none of the folks at the tire shops, aftermarket dealers or even at the RAM dealership know. All I get is shrugs. Does anyone here know or maybe have an unmounted wheel they've measured?

So it's printed or stamped 'inside' the wheel? Figures, you'd think they would put that in the owners manual. You'd also think somebody at a tire shop or dealership would have it handy. The wheels I'm looking at are 20x9 with a +20mm offset and the outfit selling them said they would fit but didn't want to just take their word for it. Many thanks Doz.
Thanks to both you and Doz for the good inputs. The truck is going to get a 2/4" drop soon. The wheel I'm thinking about is a 20x9.5 with a +25mm offset that the dealer says should fit. Once my wallet recovers I'll probably end up with either 285 or 295/50's if they'll work. Opinion?
I don't know how the drop will affect rubbing, or if it will at all. My wheels are 20x9 0 offset and my tires are 305/55/20 a/t hankooks. My tires stuck out 19mm more than stock and I rubbed at full turn to the right until I got my truck leveled. Now I have more sidewall and a wider tire than you, but you have a larger offset. I think 295s would be ok but I would go with 285s to be safe...
Thanks for the advice ELD44, it's much appreciated. I've been burnt more times on wheels and tires then I'd like to admit and would like to avoid it this time. Your suggestion not to push past 285's sounds good. Once I get my original 275/60's mounted back on the new wheels and get a good eyeball on my inside clearances I should have a clearer picture as to how much larger I can go without rubbing. My prime concern was the width and offset of the new wheels and from what I've learned here it sounds like they'll be ok. It's tough finding a wheel I like that fits this truck. That 5 on 5.5 lug pattern is killin' me.
Keep in mind that if there is rubbing issues you could always use spacers to give you s little more clearance. So you have a pic of the rims you are wanting?
Yeah, I will use them but only as a last resort, never really liked to but that's just me. Right now I'm planning on these wheels
