1) you will have to find out what the code is that set off check engine light. Most likely it's a fluke that its on due to the battery dying.

2) search that question on this forum, I have read numerous threads about batteries dying overnight.

 

It should reset after about 10 restarts if you have no other problems.

So it is off now. Took it to the dealer said the code is P1DB1. TCM low voltage or something. Thinks I should have it looked at. Thoughts??

 

Just a reaction from the dead battery and the boost. Disconnect the battery for a couple minuites to reset the ECM. Try to find the cause of the battery drain. could be a yard light left on.

 

Do you have air-suspension? The one and only time my battery died over night in my Longhorn was when I tried three times in a row to get my Ram to lower with my key fob right after I got out. It started to lower then stopped. I pressed the lower button twice more with nothing more than the lights flashing. I gave up and went inside. The next day my battery was dead. I think it kept trying to lower through the night and ran the battery down. Either that or there is a slight possibility that I might have left the rear cargo light on over night but I believe if I did, it should be on the same circuit that shuts off the lights after 30 minutes of leaving them on. Those are the only two things I can think of on mine. It's been about a month now since it happened with no issues since.

 

I had this issue happen to me this morning due to leaving my pickup connected to my camper and accidentally leaving lights on. I turned it all the way off, and fully started it about 5 times an on the 5th turn off and restart the check engine light went away.
