Hey Guys,
This is the second time since I've had the truck that the battery has died overnight. Have had the truck less than a year. Anyway, service came out and jumped it. All seemed fine but how the check engine light is on. So annoying! Any ideas on what to do or should I take it to the dealer?
Thanks in advance!!!

1) you will have to find out what the code is that set off check engine light. Most likely it's a fluke that its on due to the battery dying.

2) search that question on this forum, I have read numerous threads about batteries dying overnight.

Do you have air-suspension? The one and only time my battery died over night in my Longhorn was when I tried three times in a row to get my Ram to lower with my key fob right after I got out. It started to lower then stopped. I pressed the lower button twice more with nothing more than the lights flashing. I gave up and went inside. The next day my battery was dead. I think it kept trying to lower through the night and ran the battery down. Either that or there is a slight possibility that I might have left the rear cargo light on over night but I believe if I did, it should be on the same circuit that shuts off the lights after 30 minutes of leaving them on. Those are the only two things I can think of on mine. It's been about a month now since it happened with no issues since.
