Looking for feedback on upgrading rotors and pads (calipers too). Looking for those who have seen improvements while towing loads in the mountains?

I have had good experiences in the past with using drilled & slotted rotors, so I am looking for any experiences you may have with ones like that in particular ...

I have been looking at the Power Stop Z36 kit (rotors, pads & Calipers), what feedback does anyone have on them?
I have also been looking at the R1 Concepts 'eline' & 'Geo Carbon' rotors & pads, but would then need to find calipers. Any feedback on them?
And the other one I have looked at is the EBC Sport Rotors and either the greenstuff elite or Xtra-Duty pads, but i am not sure if that would be the right rotors/pads from them. Any one using EBC & have some feedback?
Anyone tried both the PowerStop & the R1s and or the EBC's that can provide any comparisons?
Are there others I should be considering and what feedback do you have about them?

This is on a 2015 2500 6.4l 4x4 and Thank you in advance ...(I realize it is a 3/4 and not a 1 ton. My previous was a 1 ton and I intentionally moved to the 3/4 because I don't have heavy payloads in the bed, but towing trailers in the mtns is hard on brakes ...

** My rear calipers are seized and that is why I appreciate the comments on Calipers too 👍

Go with the Powerstop Z36 Truck & Tow Brake Upgrade Kit ...

They have slotted and drilled rotors and carbon fiber ceramic pads .... I have them on my 2018 Ram 1500 and I love them !!!

I wouldn't even think about the R1 Concepts, have had their stuff on other vehicles and they sucked !!!!

With the Z36 I kept my original calipers, no need to replace them unless you know for a fact they need to be replaced ... I have had the powerstop z36 on my truck now for 2 years and they have been great !!! Can't say the same for the R1 concepts, the rotors on them were also drilled and slotted but they warped in less than a year ....

What's crazy is that I heard both R1 and Powerstop's drilled and slotted rotors come from the same place lol .... but I guess the material they use is not the same ...

Trust me, go with the Z36 you won't be disappointed

Short of a full brake size upgrade that is not cheap, I will swear by Powerstop Z36 pads and at least drilled and slotted front rotor replacement.

I dont tend to replace rear rotor as it is not doing nearly the work of the front.

FYI, we had a factory lower S10 that I installed the drill & slotted and Z36 pads on. I took it out one day to see how much the brakes would take before over heating were fade would show up........... I could not do it and I was doing some very "spirited" driving, think like SCCA course type, i.e. hard on brakes then back to speed and back hard on brakes with nearly no cool down time.

I love the Z36 brake kit on my truck man, I also go it on my wife's 2016 Lesux IS 200t F Sport .... I won't use any other brake kits anymore ...

i PUT THE POWERSTOP CAlipers, drilled & Slotted rotors and pads back in 2016 and still have them on. They are the Truck & towing setup. I often tow dump trailers that sometimes exceeds my max weight and I've never had an issue with stopping even downhill. They appear to be a consensus in this feed. I've never seen anything on issues with the Power Stop. If you go that route get everything. Like I said I installed them in 2016 and they are still going strong. Well, I haven't checked them in about a year but they respond as Expected, everytime.
GOOD LUCK.

I went the Powerstop Z36 Truck & Tow Brake Upgrade Kit + calipers & slotted rotors on the rear of my '15 2500. (I don't need to the front brakes yet.) Been happy with them so far. Feel like they have improved my stopping distance even as they are just the rears. And have done quite well in the mountains on the snow and ice, but haven't been towing in the Colorado Winter weather much yet.

Going into the summer mountain towing season here in Colorado in the mountains so we will see how they hold up in the heat and traffic etc this summer 👍

Wait to you put them up front... They will stop you on a dime and give 9 cents change........

I live in up state NY we have some "hills" and I can tell you that since changing over to Powerstop z36 pads on all 4 and only drilled and slotted on front I can take my truck and 3000lbs of trailer down areas I used to gear down in with brakes alone and not worry about over heating.
And that was with my 05 F150 Screw, never mind my 2019 Ram 1500 as the HP8 transmission will down shift and hold lower gears by itself to utilize engine braking.
I actually put these on a 97 GMC Sonoma with factor lowered ZQ8 suspension and hot lapped the hell out of it to see if I could get brake fade, and could not. I think the spec is something like 2000*F before they will give any sign of fade............
