Hello Huntergreen,

This is quite a common item (Kennel with Insulating Blanket) for Bird Hunters such as myself. I am assuming that you are wanting a kennel to transport your dog in and it will be located in the back of your truck. I am also assuming you have no canopy on the back. I have purchased many items from a US company called Gun Dog Supply and they carry these items. Here is a link to their website: http://www.gundogsupply.com/dog-boxes.html

Hope this helps!

don't you have 4 loops in the bottom sides of the bed?
one tie down strap going from the front 2 ought to do the job

use something like these

i read that a lot of dog owners use a carabiner to make sure the cage doors do not open

I used bolts to secure a tool box in the bed of my son's truck. It was just a matter of crawling under the truck to insure nothing was in the way and we drilled two bolt holes in the bed of the truck and put a piece of flat stock in the box and a small piece under the box and bolted them together. I sprayed paint before inserting the bolts and siliconed the bolts as well. His truck will rot away before the box will come out though.

I just went through the process you are going through to figure out what to do. I ended up getting kennels at my local sporting goods store. I use the Mud River Dog kennel covers. http://www.mudriverdogproducts.com/
The dogs are warm and have adjusted to riding in them. I also have linex sprayed in, with the cover on the kennel, the dogs in the kennel, there is no movement at all. I tried by hand. I still strap the kennels down with ratchet straps to be sure.
