Im coming around to my first fill up..lol scared for my wallet that i probably have the 32 gallon.
The midgrade doesn't help...

To the OP, I'm certainly glad I have the 32. I wasn't able to find fuel consistently on the run from Irma. Would I have ever ran completely out? I don't think so. But I would have been very close to empty, and likely wouldn't have been in the best state of mind. Also good for future towing and offloading adventures.

Bought mine a few weeks ago off the lot, NEW. The dealer filled it up before I drove it off.
I've put gas in it once, about 17 gallons if I remember correctly? It says it has the 26 gallon tank. Maybe I'll need to change that out in the future?

1500, 3.92 gears, 120L tank
I regularly get over 900km on road trips.

My buddy (former ram guy, now in a gmc, poor guy) complained that he doesn't like vehicles with large tanks cause they're too expensive to fill. I reminded him that they don't need to be filled as often, or if he doesn't want to spend the money, he doesn't need to fill it all the way up.

Big tank was a must for me. No regrets.

Yeah I never understood that logic. It costs the same in the long run. Plus like ExplorerRob said you can buy cheaper gas in one place and ride past areas where it is more expensive, spending less overall

Yesterday, I pulled My 5k boat fighting a 20 to 30 mph wind. 32 tank is a must for Me. You don't want to know what My mpg was yesterday.

Sure we do. Single digits?

what i'd really like is an accurate fuel gauge that works with the 32 gallon tank. i know its false and a 1/4 tank indicator isn't true...this last fill up i actually ran till i got the EVIC indicator of "you better like walking if you don't fill up soon" with a range indicator of about 15 miles. And it took 25 gallons, to the decimal to fill. sigh.

This has been corrected. My 2017 Laramie built in April already had the update.
Time to visit your dealership.

So... IF I were to replace the 26 gallon tank with a 32 gallon tank, would I have to have the dealer "reset" my computer? (As I said before/earlier, I am thinking about upgrading to a 32 gallon tank.)

@ramboxhemi - Thanks for the info. I plan on towing a medium sized travel trailer from time to time. Maybe I'll wait till next year? Plenty of things to do & add, beforehand.
