Low volume colors on 1500

Ram has offered special low volume colors on the 2500 for several years.
They weren't available on the 1500. Apparently this has changed, because I saw a 1500 in Detonator Yellow and another one in Omaha Orange at my local dealer. They are $450 extra on the window sticker. I also saw a Timberline Green 1500 at another dealer.

This is good news for those that want more choices in paint colors. I don't know how it will work on the 1500 for ordering purposes, but on the 2500 I was told they wouldn't set up a paint line until they had at least 10 ordered in a particular color, so if you order one, it may take longer for it to be built than a standard color.

I could Not get my dealership to even order any Low Volume color

My '09 came in Sunburst Orange Pearl, which is close to Copperhead Orange Pearl that the put on some Jeeps

Ignition Orange Pearl is the color of many City, County, & State Road Maintenance trucks

You don't want to do what i am doing, my 2016 Ram Delmonico Red Pearl, (Maroon), is being stripped down to bare exterior Cab & Front Fenders
All body parts are being removed, wet sanded & painted to a color that i prefer
& most of the chrome is being sold

I know that i am crazy, the money that i saved when price haggling is going to pay for the paint job
