Yes, it does if HD is available on the next station you choose. Here in the DFW area there are quite a few HD channels and it does automatically come on when I switch my presets.

VP4 vs VP3
Ok so I used the direct link above worked fine, extracted the .exe file to get the .ISO file worked fine. Attempted to do the install, everything was fine then got the error before it started: Target expected VP4, target found VP3, remove USB stick to reset.
So I pulled the stick and the truck reset to the previous version.
So my question is what does the VP4 and VP3 mean is that nav vs non-nav?

Think I figured this out
VP4 is RA4 and VP3 is RA3 (non nav) so what I guess I need is a working RA3 link, has anyone tried the one that was posted earlier?

Did mine over the weekend. Had to jump through hoops to get it downloaded though! Had to call support, go to second level support, had to add 3 web sites to my trusted sites, then it finally worked! I sure wish they'd just give a link to the download! Why make it so complicated?
Not much change that I've noticed, new buttons on the call and hang up screen, and the HD radio does stay on! No issues other than leaving the truck running for 15 minutes while it did the update...

Don't know if anyone has seen the thread i started, but Im looking for help! I got an oil change and supposedly a software update, and now my text messages don't come through the screen. I tried re-pairing and now my contacts won't sync either... anyone have any tips? the software currently installed is 13.15.4

That is a pretty old version. Almost a year. Try updating to a newer version. The new one is ver 14.05.03

Thanks for the direct download link! You're a lifesaver. The 'official' site, with the Akamai software, is absolutely pathetic. Does anyone have a list of what this new update actually updated?
Who does our nav data? Is it Navteq, or something like that? I remember being on the website of the company that does the nav data for the 8.4AN radio, and you can check to see if they have an update. Wouldn't mind making sure my nav data for my 2013 Ram, is up to date.

If it is the 14.05.03 here is the change log:
Curious what the site is, I paid for the navigation add on to my 8.4A, I had the 14.05 update fail, then retried it and it went through buy my NAV is gone.... That was a $500 add on... yikes! Not sure who to call first. Ram or Uconnect.

I did the update last night.
Yes the download is a bear, the service they use sucks and their server speed is abysmal.
I got the update extracted and installed. Freaked me out when the screen went blank a couple times in the middle of the update.
When it rebooted the far right bottom icon was 'settings' in lieu of 'apps'. I got on the phone with UConnect, they had me power cycle everything. Key out, open door, close door, wait for ALL the lights to go out (incl media hub). Then they had me turn the truck on... and all was good.
Turns out since I bought my truck used the mymoparconnect account was all FUBAR. I have to wait 48 hrs for them to get ahold of the former owner to release everything to me so I can link the 'via mobile' stuff.
ALSO of note is that my dealer upgraded (nav) 8.4a did not loose the nav when upgraded - phew!

I was able to install the last version, but this new 14.05.03 version just wouldn't show up on my EVIC. I checked the USB and there it was. I can't deal with this anymore, so I'm going to take my truck to the dealer tomorrow and let them fix it. They did the recall update for me last week, and the serviceman told me that they should have done the EVIC update, too. Well, they didn't and if it wasn't for this forum, I wouldn't have even known about this update. I don't see why RAM can't make this easier for all of us. An email with a direct download link would be nice... They email payment reminds, but EVIC updates...no.

Luckily, it wasn't a total waste of time, as my dealer is an hour from my home, I had a $200 coupon and got a lot of free stuff from the parts department. Maybe, they still don't have it here in the US, so I'm going to try again in a few weeks.:4-dontknow:
