Is there a way to program what heat setting the truck defaults to on auto-start? The reason I ask is my truck ALWAYS defaults to floor only no matter what setting I place it on when I exit the truck.

I want the setting default to floor and defrost so it defrosts my windshield in the morning but this thing always resets to the floor.

I have the Laramie Limited with the 8.4

My 2016 Bighorn SLT defaults to the defroster & the fan being on high speed, just like my 2009 did.

I remote start the truck from my inside my place, then i put on my shoes & coat, then i walk out through the garage to the truck that is parked outside & open a door, then i walk back into the garage to get my gear.
Once i insert the FOB, it reverts to my settings, which at this time of year is no fan & the heat set on high. I turn the fan to 2 once the truck engine warms up, which is about 4 blocks.

I have a 16 Outdoorsman, and IMO it has seemed to be on defrost when I've used the remote start in the morn........but on other occasions.......after the truck has warmed up, I've used the remote start to run into a gas station right quick and when i get back it feels like the Sahara Desert in the cab and the heat is blowing out the vents??? So???

I should have mentioned that it defaults to the defroster to blow on the windshield at 90% when you first start it for the day
Defrost gets rid of the moisture in the cab that had settled in during a long shut down period, like over night.

The only other time that the windows fog up after a short period of time is when you parked at the back row of the drive in movie
