I have a Ram 2016 1500 Express. It has manual folding outside mirrors. On the drivers side mirror on the bottom is a sensor of some kind. Looks like two wires attached to a stick. Can someone tell me what that is? I have no idea what to search for here and can't find it in the truck's manual.

I thought it was for auto dimming of the headlights, but that is on the inside mirror.

Yep, ambient temp sensor. You'll notice if you park facing the sun it will read erroneously high when you hop in.
