Well, you might have to clean them just in case. Are they plugged in? Sometimes the cold temp might be the reason. If you are still having problems take it to the dealer.

 

I'll have to get under there and look, do they just plug in behind the bumper?? They appear clean and I wiped them off with my gloved hand, there is some road dirt there but nothing major and no snow..

 

I get the same message sometimes, they look clean but if I wipe my finger across them they are usually wet like a cold pop can on a hot day. Anyway the finger wipe seems to work for me. I coated the connectors with lps 3 when the truck first came home to ward off any bugs.

 

Did you get the message just once or is it an ongoing thing? I had it happen once last month and haven't seen it since. If I remember right, it was the day after I had towed in a snow storm.

 

Its been coming on every time I start my truck, occasionally It won't come on and the park assist works, then I turn around and park assist is off and dash says "service park assist" weather here has been nasty so havn't climbed under it to check out connections yet but the sensors have been whiped off...

 

Any update/resolution on this? The error just popped up for me yesterday. Thanks.

 

I had the same problem with my 12. I did all the recommendations above without any help. I read on another forum for Chevy that I should put my ear to each sensor. With the truck ignition on but not running I listen to each sensor. There was a steady clicking from all but one sensor. I got a new sensor and replaced the one not ticking. It worked. After a couple start ups, the system cleared itself and all works fine. Just listen to each sensor. If it is working you will hear a steady clicking. Replace the one that is silent.

 

Did you try the above test?

 

I tried the test last night, but I didn't hear anything on any of the sensors, including the reverse sensors, which I know are are working. I tried with the ignition "on" and accessory. Does it matter that I have the push button start?

Also, I would assume I'd need to shift into reverse to enable the park assist sensors, but I don't think it's possible for the 8 speeds to be in reverse with the engine off.

 

I seem to recall something in the Owners Manual about some things we do to set off warnings & how to try to correct it
