Sway bar links recommendations

I have a 2002 ram 1500 and need new sway bar links. I was also thinking about doing the sway bar bushings as well while I am at it. I am wondering on what brands you guys recommend to get? I also heard MOOG was best and thought about getting them but wasn't positive and would like your feedback. I was on Rockauto and they offer several kinds from economy style to standard (this is were MOOG was) but as I mention I would like your opinions. Also would like your help on brands of bushings.

I was going to replace my front sway bar with a performance one but can not seem to find them, only for rear yet my rear does not have one? So I guess I will just do the links and bushings.

I highly appreciate any help giving!

Moog is great because they are serviceable (grease fittings) Are you going to do the tie rod ends too? Check Auto Anything they are alway running a sale. I was on Advance Auto Parts yesterday and they had a 15% off right now coupon too. Not sure where you are - but they ship too. You going to get it aligned afterwards too right? Have fun. :)

I checked Hellwig site and found nothing for my truck.

I already did tie rod ends a year ago with MOOG so no need to replace. When changing the sway bar links an alignment is required after?

On autoanything I saw the skyjacker and hellwig end links but they look different then the ones I have, so I am not sure how they hook up? Any help I appreciate.

Which ones did you go with? I am debating moogs (overpriced) or mevotechs MK7422 comparable and way cheaper than the moogs k7422.

advanceauto has way better discount codes than just 15%, i use the $40 off 100 all the time sometimes multiple orders but that still doesnt knock down the moogs prices.

no need for alignment when replacing the sway bar end links and not sure why you would do tie rods at same time automatically....

I am not sure yet. This is my weekender so dont know if I will go cheap ebay junk or mevotech or moog. I like moog and use them 90% of the time, but have found that sometimes they are to big like lower ball joints and there is rubbing issues (doesnt appply to these trucks but other customers vehicles) so i am thinking of giving mevotech a try for 63 free shipping a pair of the mk7422's which are greasable and compare to the moogs k7422 ot 1a autos cheap 30 a pair set cause i dont drive the truck very much at all but i do drive fast and take corners fast.

Yea like you said I use MOOG most of the time, lower/upper and tie rod ends are all MOOG that was just replaced. I was going get MOOG bushings for sway bar for sure but the links I was debating because I do have other stuff to drop money on so I was hoping to find another brand that is good/ close to MOOG in the links since they are pretty pricey.

Update a week after installing the MK7422's and 36mm moog bushings. WOW WOW WOW it handles like a vehicle should now. Granted i also did a 2" drop shackle in the rear before it and that made a difference but crap were my end links shot and bushings too. Tightened my truck up 10,000 times.

Grabbed the mevotechs off rockauto seemed cheapest and most reliable to deliver when I wanted. bushings i got from ebay saved a few bucks there.

yes used a caliper. Its tricky with the 2002's but rockauto for this particular part are wrong. If you dont have a caliper wrap a piece or string around it and measure it that way. I would bet if you have torsion suspension too yours will be 36mm. I bought moog part # K7384 and they are perfect. Just make sure you get the "MK" and if not getting from rockauto beware of ebay sellers almost all of them are misleading and you will receive gk's or k's which are the other two versions from mevotech. MK is the only one comparible to the moog.

forgot to answer about grease fitting sorry, yes only the "MK" version does.

34 would be the # to use guess they had all sorts of sizes which is odd, but maybe my caliper was wrong and I am really 34 but the moogs 36 is a perfect fit so idk.

Rockauto doesnt have either of our sizes under 02 1500... I would find what you measured and still order from rockauto just find under a different year. Would be something if both of us had our bars swapped out by previous owners which i doubt.

Got mine in, have to ship back and get new ones because the ones bolt is bent so bad, and the other link where you can fill the boot with grease the boot is half the size of the other one so I didn't like that either...I hope I get new ones by next Saturday as the lift is getting put on Sunday...

04 4wd quad cab Hemi, is supposed to have 36mm according the different part sites, but really my bar is 34 MM, I had to order for a 2 wd to get this size from Energy suspension.
