I believe it will only transfer over "my contacts". Check that you have the ones you would like in your truck in " my contacts"

 

does your S4 do any better with text messages to Uconnect? My old motorola worked fine. It would read and write text msgs through uconnect. My S3 doesn't even let me know a txt msg came through.

ya, i think us Canucks got the shaft on that feature, along with the 100 or so other goodies that our friends south of the border are allowed

Pay attention to your phone when it's paired. Once paired, additional permissions are generally needed to be granted from the phone to the radio. Text messages, contacts, etc weren't allowed until the radio attempted to sync again through blue tooth and on the phone I had to "Always allow". This was how it worked for me on my RHB and S2/3/4.

the secret is transfer them to Sim card then the phone syncs automatically

 

that's quite interesting, because my buddies contacts are all on the phone and they downloaded fine. Oh well, glad you got it figured out. :smileup:
