It seems to be a lot better now that I set the tire pressures correctly, I actually checked under the truck today after I saw your post and mine has a 1 piece driveshaft but I might grease the slip yoke and see if that helps.

My truck has a March build date so it has been sitting for a bit but not excessively I don't think. I'll drive it any monitor it over the next few weeks, I'm contemplating unbolting the driveshaft from the pinion and rotating it and bolting it back in, there another set of bolt holes in the pinion.

I'm actually curious now if everyone that is complaining about the vibration has the same gears? My truck has the 3.92s...

If your truck sat a long time and had wrong tire pressure you have a torr problem. Balancing wont fix it, driving it more at higher speeds to get heat in the tires might help, but replacement tires are probably the best bet.

jared, might just be best to replace the tires and see if that fixes your issues before you start unbolting things. then you might be able to go after goodyear for compensation.

I too had a rear end vibration, cyclic in nautre, even pulsing. Repalced my OEM Junkyears with Michelin Defenders and it has reducded itself significantly< i thgouht i t was compeltely gone but it is not. However, I only notice the mirror vibrations when the rear end goes over a roadway crack.
Other than that, nothing, so now i am thinking rear end is moving aroudn too much, when it goes over cracks or obstructions.

If you lived nearby, we could put my turck on jeckstands adn you could run otu my michelins see if that took care of it.

Thanks for all the good input guys, I think I will probably start with the tires and go from there, I wish they would at least put decent tires on these trucks from the factory.

I knew I was going to have to replace the tires fairly soon after I bought it, just didn't want to have to do it with 2000km on it lol.

i drove my goodyear HP till 45000 miles. still had about 10000 miles of tread left but i dint want to go through the winter with them. of course last winter was so mild i could have. the were fine for me.

Mines got the wrangler SR-A's on it, my dads sierra and buddies silverado came with the same tires when they were new and they both told me that they're junk and plan on replacing them fairly soon. I was hoping I could just deal with the crap traction but wouldn't have to replace them due to actual issues.

Hmmm...
No complaints on the SR-A's on my truck, I've had it for 6 months now. I was quite surprised though when I saw they were made in Canada....just like me! The truck is completely assembled in Mexico but it has Canadian made tires! weird.

I am considering the KO2's as well as the Michelin LTX AT2's which I had on my previous F150 and really liked. Also considering the Toyo Open Country AT2's, first I'll take it to my friends shop and get him to throw my wheels on the balancing machine to see if they're out at all and try to correct it that way, I'm not really wanting to drop $1500 on tires right after buying my new truck but if thats what it will take to get rid of the Vibration thats what I'll have to do.

I'll crawl back underneath and see if I do have a front skid, if so I'll remove it and see if that helps. I think I have a different issue though as you can hear a rotating noise on the highway that accompanies the vibration.

Looks like you aren't too far from me.

I just bought a 2016 Ram as well I got nervous the first time I heard the Hemi Fire up and the ticking was there. I brought it to the dealership and they explained its not a lifter knock at all but the fuel injectors due to the design. Not sure if they where just trying to appease me or this is the case but I will take them at there word and take full advantage of the 125k mile warranty if needed... :)

BS....7000 km on my 2016 hemi and it is quiet...very quiet. Any noise out of your hemi is not "due to design" imo.

The injectors are more of a buzzing sound than a tick

Just a quick update, picked my truck up from the dealer today as they scheduled me in as the weatherstripping for the passenger door came in, I guess this would make it 1 out of the 6 issues that have been "fixed" so far. They also botched the hell out of something so simple, this is the review I left on their Facebook page.

Absolutely the worst service department I have ever encountered, sales department is good, until they have your money then you're on your own and its all excuses all the time.
My brand new Ram has been into service 3 times so far in a month, out of 6 issues they've "fixed" 1, which was an air leak on the passenger side front door, I put fixed in quotation marks since they did infact replace the weather stripping and then when I got home I had to re install it since it was falling off in a bunch of places and I had to reinstall the kick panel also since it wasn't clipped back into place.
On top of that they've scratched my new truck, told me a bunch of other issues are normal when its plainly obvious they aren't and the whole experience has just been a waste of time in general. If I find a way to post pictures in my review I will do so.
This is the second vehicle my family has purchased from this dealership in 2 years and will be the last, nobody I know will ever be purchasing from them either. My neighbour also has a ram and just saw me outside fixing the weatherstripping on my truck and told me about the bad experiences he's had with the service dept as well, he recommended me to another dealer that took care of everything that Langley Chrysler jerked him around on.

at least now you have a recommended dealer to use for service.
Yep, stopped by them today and booked an appointment, service advisor listened to the video and said that doesn't sound right at all. Its booked in, they want me to leave it overnight then come in the morning and start it with the tech so he can hear the noise, and take the tech out on the highway to show him the vibration and noise, already way further than I got at the other dealership.

I received a call from the Assistant service manager today and an email from the service manager of the other dealer today after they saw my review of them, they want to sit down and make it right and I applaud them for that except for the fact that at this point I don't trust them with the truck at all, if they can't even get the weatherstrip right I don't trust them digging around in the rest of the truck, they've also had 3 chances to get it right and have failed, I don't think it should take me having to voice my displeasure in such a way to get to that point.

Hopefully I'm on the right track to getting this sorted out now because I do love everything about the truck otherwise.
