I've mentioned in other threads but haven't started my own official one on my recent issue. Was outta town last week for work. I've started a new job where I mainly work out of my house with the occasional out of state travel. So my truck has been sitting a lot the past month. I asked the wife to take it to work just to run it a bit. About a mile down the road she called me to say the check engine light was on. Coincidentally, I was flying back in that afternoon anyway, so I had the wife pick me up from the airport and we took the truck right to the service department.
I failed to jot down the code, but they have to order a new purge flow solenoid and canister? 5.7 Hemi with 5,006 miles. Parts don't come in till Thursday of this week, so hoping to get my truck back by COB Friday at the latest.
Until then, they've put me up in this 2018 Big Horn. A rather stripped down model compared to all of the options mine has, but I'm appreciative to be in a truck nonetheless. For only having about 7,000 miles on it, this poor thing has been abused! Dents and scratches all over the exterior, and the interior is just nasty. Smells of cigs, drywall mud on the cloth interior, etc. It's like a construction crew was packed in this truck for the first few months of its life.
I've been putting her to work as well hauling some furniture for my parents, storing some of their stuff in my garage until they move in to their new place this weekend.
